Very disappointing, hit and miss app, after downloading Wooask app I tried it about 12 times and it only worked on 4 occasions translating a simple word ‘Hello‘ as a test from English to Mandarin (Chinese) After that, it kept saying not connected although Bluetooth was switched on and Paired with the Wooask app, my mobile phone is Chinese company Oppo and should work with this Chinese translator device which cost$69.00 but it doesn‘t, useless. Now trial ended, have to pay, it‘s a money grab.
Reviews for Wooask | Offline translation
← Back to Wooask | Offline translationI bought wooask translator and blue tooth earbuds. The online function works, but you have to be connected to the internet. Im in Paris now, and the offline function doesn't work!! I've top off with coins bought 2 Online languages and watched the install video 5 times, and it still doesn't work. I've un-installed and re- installed the app, and it still doesn't work. When I get back to the state, I'm sending it back.
Well! I had the same issue with the bluetooth thing.. had to close out the app completely and then open it back up for it to work.. if you try to multi-screen then come back to it.. it doesn't seem to connect again.. (hence repeat the closeout) .. down side is that it doesn't work without internet.. but other then that, I cant complain.. other then it translate profanity as asterisks lol.. not perfect, but might be doable.
very disappointing! It is connected to my Bluetooth but whenever I go back to actually use the translator it tells me I'm not connected when I know that I am. I've called China I've got a hold of Wooask on Facebook apparently they're only the software developers and applications has nothing to do with the actual translator so I'm not able to get a refund. I'm not happy.
I'd give it a 5 star review if there was a function where I could wear both earbuds and have handsfree translation without having to press the microphone button over and over. I use it to listen to speeches and sermons at church where they speak a different language. So it would be nice if I could just press the microphone button one time and the app continually translate AND play in BOTH earbuds, not for conversation between two people but strictly for listening.. please add this feature!!!
im only giving a star because thats the lowest i can give....I didn't like it cause its a rip off...paid all that money for the device to be such rubbish... I was conned/tricked into buying this translator device, and to find out it was not such a device at all, it was just a Bluetooth speaker/mic that requires an app and a smartphone, and then the app doesn't work, costly rip off merchants...
Complete rip off and scam! Purchased the translator earbuds that cost 100 dollars. Downloaded this app that must be used along with the earbuds. After 5 simple translations, the app hits a paywall for both offline and online translations!! Scam! Stay away from these Chinese made apps. They are all scams.
Useless the app always assumes it's English regardless of which headphones activates it or how the phones are configured. So no matter what language is spoken it will try to insert an English word and translate it to the language you selected. It doesn't work as intended.
not that bad but far from good so I'd like to ask if that would be possible to not to buy the gadget but you charge for the app which can pronounce all the things and we can write as well so no problem if the device not understanding what we say. the Hungarian matrix needs massive work as nearly 60% of expressions are miss translated. this includes simple formulas as well. it would be realy great if people won't just inbox us with business craps. if someone needs that make a room for that please
This seems to be part of the translating earbuds scam. The earbuds are not doing any translation but the app is supposed to. They also don't tell you that after one week your unnotified free trial period is over. And they didn't want a good amount of money to buy coins but of course they don't tell you how much time for messages or whatever the coins buy you. Total scam and should be charged with false advertising IMHO. Also the earbuds use this app. I still needed to pay. Don't believe them!
I have been using this for a whole day and now it wants me to pay. It's telling me I have used my trial and I need to top off. When I purchased my earbuds they told me it was free to use forever. Did they lie to me.
I paid for the video call translation and it does not work in the app.
It appears to work now and again. However, I don't intend to pay for an app that doesn't work first time, everytime. That is the least what customers can expect. Unfortunately, this app falls into the category of only working now and again. Apps get deleted very quickly from my phone if they don't work first time, everytime. This app fits the bill of an early deletion. Don't waste your time with this app unless you enjoy frustration.
So, I have been playing around with the A2 Pro earbuds from Amazon. It came with the app information, and let me tell you how bad it is at transportation it is really bad that I am still in a quiet question asking how to say 10 in Japanese. Which is juu, and it keeps saying you when I ask it a number why is it saying you instead of 10 I am not sure but I thinking you need to fix your app. Paying for offline mode is a joke. You can't even get the app to work right.
purchased yyk-q10 earbuds and told me to use this app. wasn't told there was a purchase lasted about 5mins and the trial version was done
Appallingly bad rubbish. Cannot even register it as it says select icon but then there is nowhere to go to that. Simply does not work. Don't bother even trying to use it. A total and utter piece of junk. Worse still, I was conned to buying a so called translator device and then find it was not such a device at all, merely a blue tooth speaker/mic which requires this app and a smart phone to work but then the app fails. Costly rip off merchants. You could find an app which works and mange perfectly well without the junk hardware.
This is a predatory app and business. No where is it advertised that you need to pay and keep a certain amount of money in the app's wallet to get translation off the bat. There was no transparency when buying the physical translation devices or downloading the app to connect to. I could've been more understanding if you paid for the app up front or just given us a heads up. Would have given 0 stars if I was able to.
The instructions for this app are awful. It's telling me my Bluetooth is not connected when it is. It tells you to go in settings but doesn't explain what to do in settings. I do like the ear buds because they are flat and sit nicely on the ear. I've watched every YouTube video and did not find them helpful to understand the app and how it works. I have a Samsung 24 plus. The video they show in the actual app is an old video that isn't helpful.
it is pretty good. but need to make it so that the conversation stays on unless I turn it off. it constantly ends the free talk conversation and has to be started again. also, need to allow offline translation to work the same as online. offline is very limited. the translation is approximately 90% correct. however the transaction only seems to work with the microphone from the phone. also you should allow the app to continue of the screen is turned off to allow saving battery.
You must purchase two languages at a minimum but the 7 day rental package doesn't give you enough "coins" to purchase ANYTHING, so you end up buying the 30 day bundle in order to get 7 days of use. You end up spending more on "coins" than you do on the hardware. You don't find any of this out until you've installed the app, paired it with your hardware and given it full access to everything on your phone. The best part is that you never stop paying them (best for them anyway).
