The workouts are good but you have to watch ads to unlock most of them. Not gunna pay for the no ads version but there are so many ads in the free version and at inconvenient times it's annoying besides that it's an overall great app. Good workouts. I love the 30 day challenges and that you can customize the workout if you don't like or can't do some of them.
Reviews for Workout for Women: Fit at Home
← Back to Workout for Women: Fit at HomeThe workouts are a little limited in choices, but it covers all the areas I want to hit as well as in a shorter span of time than other workouts I've done (20 min or less versus minimum of 35min). The workouts are simple overall, and I definitely feel they work. Only negative I've found is that the notifications do not work when the app is closed. I dont get push notifications 😕.
I only recently downloaded this app, but I have found it to be very helpful so far. I am a huge procrastinator, and because of this I usually have a hard time keeping up with self care such as exercising. But it has been very easy so far. The ads are fairly short, and only occur to unlock an exercise, and at the end of the workout. The app has a lot of diversity, including warm ups, stretches, full body and individual work outs, as well as pain relieving stretches; also keeps track of progress
It's a really great app, works for my lifestyle and level of fitness, having short periods of free time and being a beginner. However, it does say I burned 200 calories after not even 10 minutes of stretching just my upper back and neck and shoulders... general rule for my weight and height is 100 calories for every HOUR. I like that you can exchange certain exercises for other exercises, but I wish you could make your own workouts.
I like it. Good for getting started. Lots of videos to demonstrate in case you don't know how to do something. It says there are recipes but I haven't found them. Only complaint in that there are too many pay walls. I already paid to get rid of the obnoxious commercials, and now there is another pay wall for additional exercises. I think if you paid once that should be enough.
I really love the workouts on this app. I have hypothyroidism, major depressive disorder, and moderate breathing issues, so like 95% of the time I'm awake I am exhausted. Sometimes I have to pick and choose what daily activities to do because certain activities use more energy than others. The exercises on this app are incredibly low energy, but still offer results. I've been doing them for a week and have noticed my arms and butt are already tighter. So thanks for creating this app, yo.
Love this App!! It has all kinds of different excercises that I can do and it makes the gym experience more fun! Now I could get my body right for the summer time!😁👍🏽 Wish me luck! The only problem is that I can not sync my Spotify music to this app which I wish they can do so I can excercise while listening to my favorite music! Other than that, this app is the bomb!!❤❤😁
I am a big time procrastinater. I have not ever been consistent with my workouts and healthy goals. This app is so far the best thing, I have been looking forward to using it. Average 10 minute workouts, which I can easily find time for. And I feel the right amount of soreness from the various moves. I paid the one time fee to have the ads removed, but really, it was to support the app. Also, since I paid for it, I'm likely to keep it, lol. I'm not using a scale, not yet, but I FEEL good!
This is a very useful app! I've used this in combination with a calorie counter app, and I've lost 5 pounds in my first week! I mainly downloaded it so that I could get back into shape, along with healthier eating habits, and I've loved the quick workouts. They can be chosen based on your skill level, and even the Beginner exercises can feel like a challenge (when you're out of shape)!
This app is amazing. As someone who has always led a very sedentary lifestyle, I could never seem to get into a proper exercise routine. But this app is fun and super easy to follow! One thing that I think would make it even better would be the ability to add notes to your calender every day. That way you can also keep track of other things (i.e. measurements, running distance) without using a different app. That aside, it gets a 5/5 from me.
Not as advertised. I loved everything about the questions they asked you where you are in fitness journey and such. However, I feel misled by a few things. One being asked to sign up for a trial to see my personalized plan, but then getting charged for the year without any clear way to cancel other than through the play store that recognizes it to be over AFTER the year sub. The app didn't have any recipes like advertised. And I felt the calculations are off.
Very effective for its goal! Great workout options for beginners (and probably non-beginners 😅) - even for free! I do wish if was marketed a bit more function-focused. For example, "toned arms" are not why I work out, I just want to have strong/healthy arms. But that's just feedback and a personal pet peeve. Great app, thank you to devs for making it :)
I really like the app. It's step by step with a demo of how to do the workout. The only downside is that there are maybe 15 different workouts. Would like to see more including strength/weight training. Also the estimated time is way off. I skip the breaks most of the time and it is always at least double the time it says to get through the workout. I'm definitely not going slow either.
If you are struggling to keep going after 2min of workout on your own or have no ideas of what to do, this app is good. You click on a workout, and while there is background music, a kinda mechanic voice tells you what comes next, what you need to watch out for, counts down from 3. Theres always a break between excercises which you may skip or add 20sec. Overall, keeps you motivated with a sense of accomplishment :) "How will you feel when you reach your goal?" They ask in the beginning.
Leap Fitness is THE #1 app out of 200+ apps on my phone. I used to think of apps like this as a scam but the reviews are as positive as they are for a reason. I've lost 10lbs, as well as 2 pant sizes, and it's been 2mths since I started the work-out routines this app has made for me. The only criticism I have is the cost. I was charged twice for the annual amount of 39.99 and while it was worth the 40, it was not worth 80. the workouts are all able to be found for free on YouTube.
5/22: Response! After a 1 star review but at least I got something. Says they've launched personalized workouts on certain devices. Um, you can at least email it to me if you don't have the app setup yet, especially after collecting all that information. Be transparent on what devices it's on so your customers can make an informed choice on what they're getting. No comments were provided on the missing recipes. 1 star returned because the workouts are actually alright.
Not weightlifting app, I purchased this in error. I thought it was for weightlifting and immediately after i purchased it within 10 min I emailed them to let them know I want a refund. They claim they give you 7 free days to try it out. But they dont. they charged my account immediately. And the app is terrible. No where is there a settings account menu so you can cancel. I dont know how but I found an email and sent them a message requesting refund after 10 minutes of purchase.. no reply!.
Im gonna update my review since the ai version of this came out, it is a lot better. One suggestion is to upgrade the little person that does the movement with you. There's times when I really can't tell what she's doing. Also make this to where I can make a workout schdule and advance the exercises as you do them... like the challenges but longer and I swear it would be 5 stars. But right now its still pretty decent more for beginners to mid range but I can still get a decent burn off of it.
The start times for timed exercises are too complicated with the updates that have been made. It will say start, but then repeat the exercise name and sometimes it will do a countdown and say start again. It adds another 5 seconds to the timed workout and is very frustrating to know when to start. What it was doing before the updates was perfect. It did the countdown during the rest time, say "start", then started right away. If you chose to skip the rest time, the process was still the same.
I used to love this app. I use it every day. But, the second-to-last update has made the animated exercise timer inoperable. You listen to the 'start exercise' prompts and just keep going, because you never get the prompt to stop and rest, because the timer never starts in the first place. So to use it, I have to wait for the exercise to 'start', pause it, then unpause it, for the timer bar to start moving. 😖 My routine flow is completely ruined.
