worst designed streaming platform app I've ever used. the autoplay option doesn't work 90% of the time. The background audio option doesn't work at all. And the best bit... the quality randomly goes down and the screen gets super pixilated even when the episode has been downloaded...
there are some bugs mainly with the continue watching, but the amount of content you get for the low price makes that no more than a minor annoyance, I wasnt expecting how much would be on here until I caved and got a subscription now its the only one ill never cancel
love the shows but the app itself is functionally useless. doesn't remember subtitle preferences, won't play more than one episode using chromecast, autoplay feature doesn't work, doesn't remember what episode you're up to, "continue watching" is always a few episodes behind what I just watched, have to reconnect to chromecast and wifi between each episode, missing some seasons of drag race, each episode is a very very different volume, app isn't available on many platforms.
I love everything on here! WOW is amazing!! I wish they would add a Playlist option so I can watch the episode of drag race and then the untucked episode without having to switch back and forth every time. I dream of a Playlist starting season 1 and going through all of the episodes and franchises in order. It would also be really great if I could just set the closed caption once and not for every episode. Especially since there are so many franchises now in so many different languages.
Beware! It's not easy to cancel your subscription! Very shady IMO This app keeps on crashing...Came to see if there was an update but nope! And god forbid you skip/rewind unless you wanna see non-stop errors "sorry we couldn't play this" Also some of the lip syncs for the France franchise are not available because (the song wasn't available in your area) and you see the queens lipsynching to some porn track is weird! I've had this app cause of Spain, but the service keeps lowering her standards.
This app is absolutely incapable of remaining connected to a Chromecast for the purposes of control. If you need to pause, you have to go to the Google home app to do it because this app has lost control over streaming after 10 minutes yet the controls will remain stuck on your lock screen until you restart the phone. It is the only app that behaves like this! Its absolutely ridiculous!
Have to restart episodes a few times before they'll play without freeze-framing & playing audio only. Nothing wrong with my Net connection. App automatically turns off my blue light screen filter which isnt a huge deal, but annoying. Just tried to watch Unhhhh & the vid keeps buffering for no reason I can find. If you can catch seasons of Drag Race somewhere else, it's more convenient than this.
I love the shows on the app, but recently through both my phone and on my tv, it takes forever to load, black screens of doom come up, and there's not much I can do. If we're paying per month for these subscriptions, why is this happening? No need for an update on my end, I paid the bill (they assured me I did) and it's happening on two of my devices? Gurl, no. #DragRaceTechSupport?
Content is great but usability could be improved: - Search results only seem to yield video clips but not series or episodes. Adding a filter function would help. (Ex. Searching RPDR UK should have that series as the top result but instead only shows episode review videos) - The "resume" section does not always have my most recently viewed videos/episodes. - "My Library" should have a filter section as well so I can find RPDR series and mini series more easily.
Love the content, I'll always subscribe. But the functionality of the app leaves some things to be desired: I don't know of any performance problems, I've never had an issue using the app, but there are some features that I'd love to see. The date that the video was uploaded would be lovely; some of these videos have weekly releases and I'm unsure of when it is, so I end up checking youtube. Also, I'd like to be able to remove some of the "continue watching" videos (I've seen them already)
