So here's my honest take on XBXPlay: Remote Play. I've tested a bunch of cloud gaming apps and this one's pretty solid. The 1080p streaming quality is great, and the support for Xbox 360 games is a nice touch. The controls can take some getting used to, but once you figure them out it works pretty well. The main downside is the occasional latency issues, but that's the nature of cloud gaming. Overall, if you're an Xbox gamer who's always on the move, I'd say this is worth checking out.

Description

I’ve been using XBXPlay: Remote Play for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One from your phone. Pretty solid if you’re into cloud gaming and want to play your Xbox games remotely.

Here’s what you can do: You can stream your Xbox games in 1080p, which looks great. There’s also support for Xbox 360 games, which is a nice bonus. And you can even use third-party controllers or the touch-optimized on-screen gamepad if you don’t have a controller. Took me a bit to figure out the controls but it works well once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re an Xbox gamer who’s always on the go, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this. It’s not perfect – the latency can be a bit annoying sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to play your Xbox games remotely.

The official "Xbox" app doesn't compare. Quality (resolution AND fps) is better, the entire screen on my phone is used, BARELY any latency (I only notice because I'm a hardcore...
