So easy to use!! This app is very intuitive and requires little prodding from me to get where I need to go. Everything is front and center.
I have trouble with this app every single time. it just never gets done loading. every other app on my phone works perfectly except this one. I guess I will just wait to pay my bill until they can get this app working right
App does not work. will not open. App only opens to a white screen with the Xcel logo in the center. That's it. I have restarted my device and reinstalled the app. Same result. Website also will not work unless in incognito mode.
The app hasn't been able to be opened in more than a month. Just keeps saying it's experiencing some issues and to refresh account. *update* I reinstalled the app and now it works perfectly.
they don't let you auto pay with credit card and when you do pay with a card there is a transaction fee
Pitiful customer service access. Reps have no access to your account to make necessary changes. They are useless, just like this company's concern for its customers.
I am not happy with this app. This app requires an update literally every time I try to log in. On top of that, this app is very slow. It's just about the slowest app I've ever experienced. Whoever is in charge of creating and developing this app, please do better. It shouldn't be a headache just to try to log in.
App doesn't function. I couldn’t log into the website (login failure multiple times) so I tried the app. The app told me I needed to update, so I did. now the app boot icon appears and never continues. I restarted device. No change. Essentially useless app if I can't even get to the login screen. Uninstalling.
payments never work. bills are late. rn its Oct. 2 and my bill still says last month hasn't updated since I paid it. absolutely terrible app. Just call if u have too
able to now view home usage as an added user in the app. Unable to view my home after spouse added me as a user. I can view it perfectly fine on the mobile site or desktop with my login credentials. "future versions" might allow me to. How dumb, I have a username and password that works fine as a registered user. Deleted app
This app was initially good, but it's now giving me nothing but issues. When I log in, I'm always given an error that "something went wrong." Half the time my balance doesn't even show. If I go to pay, it doesn't give me the option of paying through the pay feature. A box pops up that tells me to mail a check or call to pay. The other app at least allowed me to pay through the feature. I've run through all the trouble shooting steps to try and fix it. Was this app supposed to be an upgrade?
Most of the app seems to work as expected. However, the Go to My Energy link in the View Daily and Hourly Usage box keeps saying Something went wrong. This is better than the previous app, as I could never get into it at all from the time it was released, and I still can't get into the web app either. So progress, but a long way to go.
Works better than the old version. My only complaint is that they removed the debit/credit card payment feature, and can only pay from ACH checking or savings account now. I don't personally like using that way to pay online, after 2 incidents of online bank fraud in the last few years. Card payments have been much safer preventing my bank from being cleared out. If/when the card payment is reinstated on the app, then I would give a much higher rating.
Two failed attempts to open. Both times app suggests I try a faster network or select retry. During the second try, "update" flashed and faded too quickly to select. Went to playstore and updated. I can open app from there. Tried to open downloaded icon w/wo wifi. Still same fail. No problems with previous update. Hope there are no security issues. Hope it is fixed soon.
I go to sign in, it takes me to the verification code page saying it was sent to my email. When I go to retrieve the code from my email, then go back to put the verification code in, it's gone. So I have to resign back in and it does the same thing over and over again, so I cannot even get into my account now. Why did you get rid of the other App? That one worked perfectly fine every time. What a waste of time and energy. AND I STILL cannot sign in to my account. This is a terrible. ~ SH
I can't even log on to the app. When trying to register with my account it won't accept my name. The warning message that pops up says to only use letters, apostrophe, or hyphens. I've literally only spelled my name with the alphabet and it won't accept it. Would have loved to use the app, but I'm not going to waste my phone storage on something this problematic.
Hate hate hate the new app! It makes it so difficult to find how much you owe. I usually pay half of our bill each paycheck so it's not as painful and the old one had it right there on the payment page. I'd add a photo if I could of the section in talking about but I can't. But I would appreciate it if the "Pay Bill" page looked like it does on the website. I uninstalled the app and will just be using the website in the future.
Part of the app stopped working 2 months ago. Unsatisfactory, in my opinion and no one from Excel wants to work on it. I was able to view my usage, now I can't. If I want to view my usage, I have to go to the website. I have cleared the cookies and cashe. I have deleted the app and redownloaded it and the usage part of the app still doesn't work. I get an error message saying something went wrong, refresh.
