The app is useless, the service is so spotty, you can't stream a 1 hr show without having several interruptions, if you open the app to assess the issue it shows that the gateway is working fine, then why isn't it streaming a simple network TV show?? I had Comcast switched to Metronet, but unfortunately when I moved had to switch back to Comcast because they are the only provider in the area, it's only been 1 afternoon, and w/ every disconnection I'm reminded of their horrible internet service

Edit update9/16/25. Every single update will not open, I have to delete the app and download again because it refuses to open from the download and on the app it won't move off udate app. How are you making the app better when it never is? It constantly will not go to people. It always says there is a problem or just spins. It's more difficult to do parental control than when you could on the website.
they must have the worst customer service and set up in the world. from the beginning I've had problem and I should have turned around and never signed up with them. today I was trying to make a payment cuz my wallet disappeared about a month ago and I forgot to switch cards. that was the hardest process ever and the app refused to send me any sort of code. I'm canceling the next billing cycle I'm so over this
Most useless app ever. Nothing works. Hit a button and watch a load animation until you close the app. I don't know why It even has options like Manage Plan because even if you can get that to load, you can't do anything to manage it. Forget trying to cancel a channel or downgrade your TV tier. You can do none of that. The only thing that works is Add Mobile. Why would I want cell service with this level of customer service? Total waste of time, have to call INDIA again. GARBAGE.
It told me that my devices were perfectly connected when they weren't. When I went to troubleshoot and it found nothing wrong the AI said it would reach out to me in 2 hours! WHAT! Then I tried to get a live agent. I was able to connect with someone but they tried to push an upgrade onto me! WHAT! I asked for them to just fix the internet, they started spamming me with notifications but not responding. I ended the live chat and there was no option to review the experience so here I am.
Horrible app, and customer service. Think twice before moving to Xfinity Mobile. You might save money, but the customer service experience isn't worth the savings. It's hard to manage your account from the app because the app is slow to load on any type of connection, and in some instances you're directly to the Xfinity website which indicates to me they're aware of the limitations of their app.
almost useless 100% of the time. if there's a problem trying to activate hardware, it just tells you to try again, when the website says you need a tech to come out to your house. all the settings about the legal aspects of your plan contract dont load (they don't load on the website either). the ai bot is terrible. outside of the app, the service is terrible as well
Doesn't work! I've tried to pay my bill the past few months on this app and it won't let me. I have to go onto the internet and go to the website. what's the point of the app if it doesn't work??? I can't even connect to the assistant either as it keeps giving me some error message about the header being too big. please fix it before I uninstall it! EDIT: Still doesn't work. Going to uninstall and just go online to pay my bill. Talked to customer service for a long time to get nowhere.
App is just not working, and keeps sending me to update it repeatedly, even though it has already been updated. I also function in life by having all my clocks at 30 minutes ahead, and this app will not work like that, so I have to go in and change my time every single time I need to open Xfinity. It's endlessly frustrating.
It was working just fine and suddenly it was useless to me. I try to log into it and I get an 'oops' error. No error code or suggested fixes. It's been like this for almost 2 weeks now. Cleared cache, storage, uninstalled/reinstalled and have gotten nowhere. Installed it on my tablet for the same results.
Xfinity used to be so good, but we have had so many issues (mainly wifi cutting out, and "that didn't go as planned" whenever we try to choose an option from the home screen). I have tried to turn it off and on, and nothing. To think we're paying what we do for this service for it to not work. Frustrating.
network security settings are restricted, when the app indicates the bill is past due. app doesn't update to reflect bill status for hours, or days. can't change Wi-Fi password, can't change port settings, can't change multicast settings. my security cameras are being actively hacked by someone with my Wi-Fi password, and I can't do anything, other than power down everything. also, connected devices is constantly inaccurate.
Slow and unresponsive. I can barely sign in most of the time without encountering errors, and that's only counting the portion of the time where the app doesn't crash upon opening.
Edit: It has only gotten worse over the past 2 years. Writing this as the AI assistant repeats the same instructions to me on reactivating my internet (despite me telling it it's not working) and barring me from talking to a real agent.
the xfinity app has always been terrible. they say you can add services there, you can't, it gets stuck. You can't talk to a real person on customer support unless you say you're canceling service. Now, the mobile billing won't open and crashes the app. I like your service, going into the store gets the job done, but it is inconvenient. Fix your app!
I left a review 9/9/25 2 stars and the Xfinity support staff was able to fix the issues I was having. Unfortunately those issues with the app have returned once again. I can't see the equipment and it's asking to "activate" the modem and set up the TV box again but won't go through the set up process. I've deleted and reinstalled the app but still having the same issue. Downgraded to 1 star. Please help, again.
Very glitchy. It took 8 attempts before my service modifications were finally able to be completed. I was trying to change the speed of my home internet service. When I would go to check out, the app would say something went wrong and to try again or some page error would occur. The only way to get it to do anything after an error occurred was to clear the app data (cache cleanup didn't help). In the end, I got what I needed to do done, but it just took a ton of time to do it.
The app is slow and buggy still, it's honestly atrocious that an internet company can't make a polished app. 3 years later: The app is a full scale advertisement for services you don't want, and never use. Enjoy paying for an unlimited plan because they don't offer less, unhappy about it because I don't really need to be paying this much for the very low amount of data I use. On the bright side they can only guarantee that the price remains locked in for 5 years. Optimum for no one... but them.
This app is as trash as the company it's for. 75% of the time that I use it to pay my bill there's a problem. it won't load, gives me errors, freezes. and now it forced me to update but won't open because it still says I need to update it 🥴 its almost like you don't want my money or something. or maybe you just don't care that you're providing a terrible experience for everything you offer.
The app is useless when there's an Internet issue. If you're connected to wi-fi when your gateway is down, the app won't connect at all. If you disconnect from wi-fi, the app runs, and tells you your internet is fine. It is absolute garbage for troubleshooting. Edit 01/09/23 Now it just constantly crashes. They made it even more useless. Edit 03/18/25 Yep, still useless and constantly lies about network quality and speeds.
