love it ! one of the best programs out there, for what it does. We need it every day, and there is not a good substitute. However, it gets loaded up, gets latent, and crashes, sometimes even has mistakes and shows green when stock is down. It is a deep program and can track tons and tons of data. Keep improving it, we need it. It has been the best stock and market tracker for the last 25 years

Great app. Easy access. The new version lacks the capability to see the pre & after market price on the list without opening the quote. The older version was more convenient at a glance down the list...my preference. Also, the message boards were better served when all the responses opened completely without having to press the extend button on each response. Otherwise, I like the app for timeliness, news, etc.

Extremely overpriced, $35/month or $350/year. Any information found within this app can easily be accessed with a quick Google search or contacting a company directly. For the trading aspect, there's another company that offers $0 commission free trading. If you'd lower the price, I'd be more compelled to buy premium. I do like that this app makes things easier and less time consuming but for the price, it doesn't make up for the time invested in doing my own research.

Update: I adjusted my stars ( wish I could do 2.5 stars) because an important sector of investing are not allowed to be added to your list. Crypto investments should be allowed to add to your list. I have more in Crypto than in stocks at the moment. Please add Crypto investments to your platform so we can add it to our portfolio. Thank you for considering. I am editing my review as the crashing issue has been resolved. I really like the news I get from this app, very informative.

The app mostly works for a quick app to check prices. The app can kind of track your accounts if you add your positions. Yahoo very much has an agenda as far as the "news" they present to you. Most of their articles are editorial in nature, churned out by shills. If you can stomach the constant attempts at market manipulation Yahoo throws at you. I would think yahoo would curate their "news" a little better, but I guess if msm is ever investigated for market manipulation, there is a long trail.

Latest update is terrible. It shows the total value of my holdings and daily gains and losses, but it won't show the lots purchased (dates and prices) that I took all the time to enter. Either says unexpected error, or occasionally says I need to login, only I am logged in. obviously it still has the information on the lots as it wouldn't be able to show my gains and losses, so what the heck Yahoo??

Easy to use. I miss the old graphs that showed dividend histories, but it's one my favorite financial apps. I would give it five stars, if Yahoo adds the dividend feature back on the standard graphs. I still miss the old graphs with splits and dividend details, but it's improved since my last review. You need to increase the number of securities that can be added. Thanks to DRIP plans and fractional purchases it's a lot easier to hold multiple securities than it was in the past.

Generally, an easy app to create and follow a list of stocks. My gripe is the watchlist used to be easier to read. Now, there is a tiny 1 day chart inserted between symbol and current price/change that is a waste of space and reduced the font size of the stock symbol, current price, and change. If I want to see the chart, I'll click on the symbol and view it... I've searched everywhere for how to remove that useless chart on the watchlist page with no luck. Android.

It is a good software if you only want to track stock prices. If you add any stocks/funds to a folder to track daily changes, then the app is insufficient. It won't adjust for stock split. Also, if you trade and then use the buy/sell function to add/substract your shares, the graph is all messed up!!! I have actually earned money this year, but it shows I have lost money. For some crazy reason, while the dollar amount in my portfolio is calculated correctly, the graph shows a total different pic

Same app, differenr problem. Recently updated app for android 9.0 and the app no longer updates marker indices throughout the day. When i click the "markets" button, it appears that they're only updated in the morning shortly after the market open. I received a response from Finance support team on this issue, suggesting that I clear the app data, which I did. Now the app is unable to to retrieve data at all for any of the market indices. This app is complete junk and I'm uninstalling it.

Excellent, easy to use financial app + excellent news stories. I've tried most of the free financial apps; this is definitely the best one. (One minor quibble: it would be better if they showed the Dow, S & P 500 and NASDAQ numbers in BOTH points AND percentages on the home screen. You can tap on it, to change from points to percentage, and vice versa, but it would be easier and better if BOTH were automatically displayed on the home page.)

The latest update of this app is terrible. The prices all show 0.00 when I am scrolling through my stock lists. It takes ages (about 8-10 seconds) for the prices to update and it only updates the prices that are visible on the screen. When I scroll further down it shows 0.00 again until I wait 8-10 seconds for the update. So it virtually takes a few minutes to see all my prices. Also the color schemes aren't great and markets that are not open don't show in grey like they used to.

I've been using this app for many years. It is a great way to check on stocks you may be interested in or gather news relating to such stock. At first it may be a bit confusing as to how to use it: create lists, delete/add stock symbols, etc., but once you get familiar with it, it's a very niceand useful app, in my opinion. UPDATE NOV. 2024 Im having problems with the app. It closes suddenly. I ve deleted the app and reinstalled it. Problem persists. UPDATE JUNE 2025. No problems anymore. 👍

I still think this is a great app and use it daily. However, the recent update that made the individual stock page with information split into 2 sets of columns is not so good. Would like to see the previous format back where the data names are on all on the left and the corresponding numbers shown on the right. Keep up the great work 👍.

I like most of the enhancements but do not like the red and green colors removed that was great for quick scan of my portfolio going up or down. Bring back the colors. Edit: I see you brought back colors. This is great app for checking my portfolio at a glance for market movement. Highly recommended. Edit: All above items have been changed and other changes makes this the best quick reference financial app i reference now.

Getting blue "Unexpected error. Please try again. RETRY" messages all the time when I read the news. Pushing RETRY doesn't help. I cleared the cache and that didn't fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that did not fix it. Sometimes the story will turn off. I like the app other than that. It's very useful.

I have a love/hate relationship with this app now. I use to totally love it. But lately, the updates have left glitches. when opening the app from a news notification I get in my feed, I get this message... 'Unexpected error, please try again'. I hit the retry button but it doesn't clear the error. usually takes numerous hits on the retry button to make it clear. SO VERY FRUSTRATING. Also, they took away the DATE info from the ALL HOLDINGS block on the portfolio page. this was very helpful. 😢

This review encompasses the web page moreso than the app. I made the mistake of getting a smaller phone which has cured me of any desire I had to use the device(if any). I use the web page daily. I use the app only if absolutely necessary. I can't find anything on it and if I do it is lacking in so much information simply due to size. I nearly upgraded my phone, but I think I prefer just never using it. Nothing against tech but dual 27" monitors are sooo much better.

Notifications on this app are atrocious! For as long as I've been using this app to track my stock prices, the app design team refuses to address the issue of notifications. I, as well as many others, have only price alert notifications turned on yet I continue to receive numerous alerts that I do not want throughout the day. Why is this so hard to fix??

It is a good app for charts and news related to stocks. There are occasional loading issues and the financial metrics are not always updated. I look at numerous stocks regularly and find missing P/E data, yields, expense ratios (on ETFs), and other similar holes in the data. This isn't every stock, but I would estimate that about 1 in 10 have something missing. Despite that, it is still one of the easiest and most accessible free options that investors and traders can use in my opinion.
