There's nothing about this app that's easy to use. The only way to attach a file to an email is to find the file on your phone, hit the share button, then choose the yahoo app. You can try to search for the file by hitting attach in the email, but you have an extremely small chance of that actually working. If it weren't for the fact that some things will NOT let me change my email, I'd be rid of yahoo all together.

why! why (fix) something that doesn't need fixing? first, it looks horrible now. it's so bold and crunched together. second, this makes it hard for me to use, which is taking away the option to highlight days, week, month, or older emails. sometimes, it's easier to highlight everything and unmark a few than having to touch every email to delete what I need to. fix this and give back the features you took, or I'll just go back to the basic email app my phone comes with.

Everytime and update comes out the app stops working. I can no longer sent emails at all. It just loads over an over and nothing happens. I have tried everything to fix it and its not working. its unusable. Edit: As stated i attempted to troubleshoot myself. I have the latest app that was the first thing I checked. No updates are available.

Doesn't show all emails. sorting options are bad. Slows way down with any volume at all. Desktop at least shows all emails. Update May 2025: recent update makes it harder/slower to swipe to delete. Still doesn't show all emails in Inbox or using the Unread option. Also a new wrinkle is that the Move option no longer shows up on all emails. I have to leave them in the Inbox and go to the desktop to move them to another folder. Extremely frustrating!

Recently went from seriously bad to much, much worse. This is NOT a 4.5/5 app! Infuriating it's been years and you can't seem to fix major issues. After the most recent UI updates (I was able to turn off some of the most annoying features) I open and am in the middle of reading the content of an email and all of a sudden another email will open in it's place. Still looking for a better alternative while still keeping my yahoo email.

I wish the Google calendar feature was included, to add tasks/events easier. UPDATE: I do not care for the new alterations. I dislike having to download an attachment every time to view it. No preview option? I dislike how I don't get the notifications I have enabled when emails are received. If I revise a draft it isn't always saved when there's a notation confirmation. Folder labels should be longer and refreshing should be frequent or have an icon, condense side settings for convenience. -1⭐

Some of these new features actually make it harder not easier to go through my emails. At first I liked it but quickly found it frustrating when emails are automatically placed in newsletters, Primary, offers, other. For some this may be ideal especially if they deal with a lot of emails or find it frustrating. Maybe I will get used to it in time.

Hate the latest updates. When I open the app, I want to see ALL of my emails, not the ones Yahoo deems "Primary." It's also annoying to have to hold down an email and then select the "select" option. Why add an extra step there? Also, the latest update makes it difficult to delete emails. I can no longer use the swipe function - it simply doesn't work. Feels like this app is going backwards in development. It's just getting more difficult to use with extra steps everywhere.

I've never had issues with Yahoo Mail for as many years as I've had it. that said, I absolutely hate their new update for the mobile app. I have Samsung, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything, but heads up. I don't know why they created separate sections for you to see your emails. there's now all, primary, offers, and other. it directs you to see primary opening the app. I don't like this at all. I want to see all my emails since I get offers frequently from stores I sub to.

There are emails that do not populate in the apps inbox or they are not viewable. I thought it was because of some settings, but there are no settings to adjust. If I log in on my computer or Chrome on my phone it is not an issue. Also, there's constant resorting of emails. I don't mind the ads, but it is difficult to respond to emails when I can't even see them. (05/22/25) after the update, this app is worse. It is so glitchy and slow. It was actually working well before.
