latest update broke For You page nothing loads & what the hell happened with the background not being Black for OLED displays. this Gray background is a deal breaker.

what do you have to do to post????? Every time I try it says unable to post at this time. Another update that is horrible. been 2 months and still unable to post. what gives????.

While using the cell phone app it would be nice to not have to go into settings-manage accounts- turn off account, then back out of it and log back into account just to post a comment. Gets really old after a while. It's now 7/25/25 and after new update it's doing it again. Have to sign out and sign in just to post a comment. Gets real old quick. How do I give negative stars?

app no longer works since the last update. Just says "something went wrong. try again later" for the last week or longer. ridiculous

I love the app. it is great, except for the loud "Yahoo" sound it makes when reaching a read level when trying to read quitely. It is embarrassing!!!

Randomly stopped working one day. I can go to the browser site and it works just fine but this will not load anything anymore.

Exactly what I've been searching for. I put in a few keywords that indicate topics I don't want content for, and it actually worked, those kinds of stories disappeared from my feed! I haven't been able to stomach any news source since Nov 5, 2024. Now I can read the news again. Thank you Yahoo News!

I don't like the new format because you can't delete messages of that day only. When you choose select it chooses all the messages instead of the most recent.

worked great. I was a daily user. I achieved the level of sage or something like that. After the last update, the app keeps crashing. Fix it.

was working well. Could get news that I wanted on my phone as I don't like to be tied to the TV. But now it's crashing/closing out on me. Not very convenient.

I've found Yahoo Will give you the News, in a Very Limited- Fashoon, A Thumbnail- View, if you would, But it Goes into Signigicant Grater Detail, When you Tap on those Thumbnail- Presentations, Like many other news Sources, BUT. . . With Very Little Bias !

Yahoo News app is a great app. It's my go-to app for news (5 stars); however, since the last update, I have noticed the app spontaneously closes when scrolling up through the various articles (3 stars). It makes the app unusable. PLEASE FIX ASAP!

Good Source of news but the reading level categories are laughable. Made it to Oracle level several times meaning one has read 350 articles. Once there after a few days it will reset to sage level meaning you have not read 350 articles in order to qualify for Oracle level. Just a suggestion remove the leveling if yout system is just going to always revert back. In 50 days plus reading the news everyday one can easily reach Oracle level and stay there. Update. Very laughable levels.

2015: When replying to comments, my comments end up under other posts. It's ridiculous and then the app has no way to edit my posts, such as deleting it. I have to wait until I'm on a computer to go into my activity to delete. Fix this and I'll give you a higher rating. *Well here it is 2025 and I cannot make comments at all. I've uninstalled this app and reinstalled it, it's up to date with the updates and still I can't comment. FIX THIS ISSUE!!!*

can't log in.. I get this message when I try to use Google login or email plus password. {"error":{"localizedMessage":"not found","errorId":"NOT_FOUND","message":"not found"}} Account works fine on the website. I'm not starting a new one. I have uninstalled reinstalled. Cleared cache/data. Same problem. I would like to use the app instead of the website but the app just doesn't work. While I'm at it..your comment section is the main draw on the website. It is terribly glitchy on the website.

there is a big improvement over stability with the app; however, it'd be nice if several issues were addressed. first, it'd be nice if comments i made wouldn't disappear from the stream several hours after making them. i am able to see my reactions and likes to others comments, but at some point my replies disappear. second, when reviewing comment history, if you click on the comment it sometimes opens. when it does, you cannot navigate beyond that comment. at that point it's useless.

Why is it that you folks can't have a story on just one page? Instead, I'm reading a story, and I get to a point and it says NEXT. What's up with that? So I read down to another point and it says NEXT again! Sometimes this goes on for 15 pages! The reason why? Too many adds in your content! Adds equal viruses that can get infected into my devices. So, either drop the adds, or I'll drop you.

It seemed to be working fine for three days until the app changed its format to black. My added feeds have once again disappeared. I followed BR's instructions on how to fix it, and it didn't resolve the issue. Help! I'm about done with the Yahoo News app entirely! Everytime the app logs me out, it deletes ALL of my added feeds (like Tech, Opinion, Weather, Celebrity, etc.). It's so frustrating to have to add them back every single time I log back into the app.

I love the summarize feature onIy on some sites. I like how the recommendations are trainable and if it's like Artifact, it takes a month for good suggestions. the only thing I really hate is the reading streak notifications. It's impossible to silence or disable. It's useless, disturbing, and made me stop using the app. Another annoyance is the articles don't link to the original source which makes saving them to Reader difficult.
