Reviews for YAZIO: AI Calorie Tracker

Start up process was overwrought, and so weight-focused I had to just lie to it try to hammer through the million irrelevant questions. I don't track my weight, I just need to log calories. Had to sit with the profile editor to figure out how to make it get out of its own way. Even then, the diary interface is cluttered and frustrating. How the heck is this even a recommended app?! The only thing going for it is that it didn't force me to make an account.

Terrible application. Most of the time the current day does not even load, making it so you cannot track your calories. I purchased the pro version. The developers do not seem to care that their app has a substantial flaw as they will not issue me a refund. On top of that issue, when it does work, you have to pick a single unit to measure in. Either grams or ounces. I measure food in grams, but milk? Can't do one or the other. Also lacks a data base and can't enter food when the app doesn't load.

Truly disappointed with the newest update, makes everything complicated, food searches take forever to load, and the days are all wacky, some days won't come up, some are repeated. When looking at your diary you have to go into the meals to view whats in them whereas before they were simply displayed on the page. It was a terrible idea to change the app when it was just fine the way it was, and even more upset that I paid for a year of PRO to now have to deal with this poorly executed update.😒

I like the app and the option to add custom foods and drinks, however the ads are getting insane. Every time I add something that I've eaten, and ad pops up after. I'm not talking after adding a meal, I'm talking after adding each individual food. I ate carrots- ad. I had a glass of milk- ad. It is making it difficult to use the app because of how often it pops up, instead of quickly logging my meal, I'm sitting there for 10 minutes trying to add my calories accurately

Honestly this app would be really great if almost everything on it didnt have to be bought. I was trying to connect this app to my Samsung health app on my phone which is free and i had to unlock the "pro" icon on the app which i needed to pay for. Even to look at recipes or anything. Kinda annoying. I like the very specific details this app has allows you to pick and chooses specific diet plans. I would have enjoyed this more if it gave you more information as to why you should or shouldn't eat a high fat diet or how much protein we should intake. It was just vague settings that of course i could adjust myself. But what about those who dont know how much they should intake? Overall it needs some work. Its a like and dislike.

Worthless. Do not get this app! All this is, is a fancy calorie counter and goal timer with some recipes. You have to pay to use any potentially useful features. I paid not knowing everything that was offered. Once I opened the paid version I was extremely disappointed in what was actually offered. My Fitness Pal offers almost all of the same stuff in their free version so WHY would anyone pay 20 bucks for 1 or 2 extra (pointless) features?! Also, they will NOT give you a refund once you pay.

Needs better database. The overall experience with the App is fine. But, the database for food(s) that the scanner can recognize is lacking. Only about 50% of the foods scanned are recognized (especially if you're not in the US), so you have to type all of the information in manually. In the grand scheme of things, no, it's not a big deal. But, if the scanner feature was added for the User's convenience, it could definitely use some improvement.

When you search food it doesn't have as many options as I would like, such as restaurants. It might have one calorie count for something and the one below it is completely different. It's hard to know what's right or wrong. You can add them in but I don't want to do that every time so I feel like I am guessing. I wish it would have things set as peice or amount. It reminds you frequently to log info and encourages you which I like, and has a lot of meal options. The meal calorie count is nice.

When multiple recipes are added to the shopping list make all the ingredients multiply as needed & condense into one list. Like, for a week of meals it shouldn't be seperate lists for each recipe, it should be just one shopping list. Maybe that's really hard to do? Also, some recipes say they take 10 minutes but then the instructions say things like "roast for 30 minutes". Why you do this?!?!? Calories are super inaccurate.

I thought it might be good, based on reviews saying the interface is better than myfitnesspal, and I liked the cheaper subscription cost. However, the food database is disappointing. I have lost count of how many items I have had to create before I could log them. Most foods have to be added by ounce or gram, so if you make a recipe that calls for one can or box of something, you have to know how many oz that item is. They should have a per can/package option. Try Nutritionix.

I used this app for years and loved it. But i recently had to uninstall it because of a crazy surge in ads that made it unusable. Also, the recent pop ups that make it impossible to quickly and smoothly use the app. And for some reason, now if you miss one or two days it makes you go through a lengthy "welcome back" process that is actually just a convoluted membership ad. Im very disappointed, wont be coming back.

It's a good app, the only one I've seen that lets you select your country to give you food options from the stores here. But meal planning is impossible. The moment you exit out of one of the menus, it pelts you with stats, ads, premium subscription sales and "You've earned a streak freeze". It takes 6 taps to exit one menu. It's become so annoying, it's better to just close the app and reopen it.

I was searching for something to help me figure out the nutrition information of meals I was preparing. After 15 minutes of answering questions to set up an account, turning down their paid version multiple times including an unclosable spin-the-wheel game offering savings on something I DID NOT WANT, I finally found out the app doesn't even let me add my own meal recipes.

the best calorie tracking app I've tried, the premium price is great compared to other apps which also makes you want to stick to it more. only thing I wish was different is that you log the supplements/medicine as breakfast lunch or dinner and there isn't a different similar section for them, which I guess isn't a big issue but sometimes I kind of want to check back to see if I took them having them in a tab would make it easier. it also doesn't connect to Xiaomi bands which is an inconvenience

clicked fasting (5:2) and the calorie count on the home page didn't change to 600 calories. sometimes it does it the day after on my normal eating days. update: problem still wasn't fixed. they told me I should manually add my calories when that's the whole point of the app. update 2: several emails exchanges and no fix. and not sure they read messages you send them. cancelled membership

I thought I would like this app. I don't normally do reviews on these ever. But after using it for 16 days I have discovered many foods are inaccurate with nutrition. It's pretty disappointing. I guess I should have had better expectations for the price. I paid for a year. I would have paid for my fitness pal again had I known this. I tried a new one because of the cost. As a bariatric patient, I need accuracy and consistency. Now I'm out of the money for nothing.

To create a recipe you have to add an entry which is clunky, adding a custom food to a recipe doesn't work and won't save it. which wouldn't be a big deal if there weren't errors with the "verified" food items. Apparently Kraft mac&Cheese has 0 calories. That one is an extreme example but about 1/3 of the "verified" items have wrong info.

I've been up and down on this app, but most recently what did you do to the fasting tracker?! It used to show a timer so you can see how long you're currently fasting, but now it's a countdown until your feeding window. So if I extend my fasting time I still can't see how long I've been fasting at a glance because it just resets the countdown. Please please please change it back, I'm regretting paying for this app and have no intentions to renew now.

Very good calorie tracker. I started using it shortly before the AI feature became a thing. I do like the AI tracker for when I'm like out but wouldn't rely on it too much. Just a few things I would like to see change. 1. Either make the diamonds useful or just remove them. it can be for different themes or something but right now it's just annoying as they're useless. 2. Add the done button to the search results and individual food items. it feels weird having to go back to say I'm don

My previous review was 4 star, but I downgraded it because of recent changes. It used to be so convenient to open app, log meal, close app. Now you have to filter through multiple screens to get to where you can log meals... and I'm a Premium Member! Sorry Yazio, but I pay for convenience, and this app no longer qualifies. So long, and thanks for all the fish. I'm out of here.
