they deliberately make the mobile internet experience terrible so you'll download their terrible app. I wish I could remove yelp results from my searches since it's a terrible site and company. Edit: the user experience is "better" on the app only because you deliberately make it worse on mobile. I can view the first couple images on the website, then I'm forced to download the app. The first couple images looked fine to me. No reason to download an app. I have downloaded the app, and it sucks.

Not the best service. I brought in my Polaris for a 400 hour service (fluids, filters and a rubber boot repaired. The estimate was about $650. When I went to pick it up the total was over $900. Now, I understand if there are extra costs or whatever. But, when I got it home, I realized they didn't even grease any of the zerk fittings....Really, what kind of service is that???!!!???!!!

When viewing collections on map view, it will only display 30 listings even if the collection has more than 30 listings. So if I have a collection of 100 places I want to check out, and I want to see which ones are near me, I can't do that, because it only displays 30 of the 100, and doesn't show all the ones that are near me.

The app and website need more ways to sort photos, such as by date and popularity. I suggest putting the newest ones first by default (at least after an approval process), to give them a fair chance. I also think photos should be split into pages if there are too many in a section, instead of having an infinite scroll.

I downloaded this app a few days ago, I have tried not one but two different email addresses due to it keeps saying "an error occurred, please try again later " or "this email is already in use" (the last one was after they wanted me to identify my gender). It has been over a week just to make an account! Such a waste! Please fix the problem!

I can open the app, but when I put in a restaurant or search it will not load! So annoying and frustrating because even on the web on my phone if you want to look at details on a page it forces you to use the app...which doesn't work! It's been like this forever and none if the updates fix it. I tried reaching to have it fixed. No response, UNINSTALLED.

I only downloaded this app because 'Nowait' was bought out and integrated into the yelp app. I wanted to thank you for killing the single most useful app on my phone. I had hoped making reservations on yelp would be as easy as it was on Nowait (since you merged them), wow was I wrong. Your search algorithms are terrible for making reservations. I don't only want to see places available at a specific time, why is that a required search parameter? Show me what the wait times are!

This app is terrible! It serves a purpose and works 26% of the time but it is riddled with vague errors and random crashes. If you spend too long placing your order, it will just error over and over. You have to close and open the app, order the exact same meals and put in the exact same information and it will process immediately. The delivery notifications are constantly an half hour too late and for whatever reason, the "current location" when you search is never current. Maybe one day...

Horrible experience claimed they are the number 1 review site in the world. I did advertising and they said for every click I would be charged .12 cents. They said my page keeps track of the clicks, according to my page I had 71 clicks after 4 days then they charged my bank account $130.92. If my math is correct it should have been $8.52. I was also supposed to have a $900 dollar credit that is spread out over 6 months which is $150 a month. Now they wont call me back!!!!

Literally FORCES you to download this unecessary app just to "read more" of the second half of ONLY 1 4 line review you'd like to read using a browser. Sounds innocent and petty but not only should any one be FORCED to download an app (especially with overcharged data prices that may effect people). it then takes you to install it, sign in/register and then doesnt always take you back to your article you'd be done reading in more 5 seconds. Allowing this like we do is why our devices have adds.

I had a terrible experience, but for specific reasons. I don't appreciate that when someone sends you a yelp link there is ZERO information on the restaurant in the link or shared in the message. As a result, I have to download the yelp app (apparently the links are broken in the browsers??????) just to find out what place they are sending me. Very annoyingly when sharing lists of places.

So many bugs these days.. when i click on the link leading to yelp, it always opens in web mode and keeps telling me to download the app when it's already installed. Also, I have been getting "something funky happened. We are aware of this issue and will be fixed soon" popup often for weeks, yet it hasn't been fixed. Both have been issues for a long time. I'm seriously considering using Google instead with all these bugs.

One day, I opened up my data usage and found that this app somehow used 17GB of data without my knowledge and without me actively using it. I hadn't even opened it in about three years, and it somehow ate enough data to almost put me over my data limit, resulting in an argument with my family and us having to upgrade to an unlimited plan, all because of this piece of garbage. I have no idea what it was doing. Maybe it was a glitch. But this is inexcusable at best. Fix this worthless app NOW.

This app , is is so frustrating. I can never find what I I'm looking for. And when I do it takes forever . Usually involving Multiple searches under multiple categories. It doesn't matter if you type in the direct name of the business. It will just pull up a bunch of other random business that have nothing to do with what you're looking for. This app only works sometimes rest of the time as it has an error message that pops up. Finally had enough and uninstalled the app for good!

Not a user friendly app. It is a pain trying to save things and to make notes on places, and - in searching to try to find where something is saved - it's so easy to accidentally remove it from bookmarks, and your notes. Map view has also gotten terrible, it won't let you click on different locations unless you zoom in really close. I'm pretty amazed at how awful such a popular app is.

This app sprang to life in the background for about a week. And flew through 4 gb of data in about 4 days. Which is okay if you have an unlimited plan. But if you don't (like me) this program could suddenly decide it wants to track you or something early in the beginning of your billing cycle and completely screw you up for the month. This app is complete garbage and does not give you truly accurate representations of the places you visit. Do not bother with it.

The app limits your searches. If I wanted to find a specific review, there's no way to guarantee that you can find it. Currently, the search engine within the app is set up to only display the "top" search results. There is zero way to continue looking with the queries provided. When you click the "show more reviews" button, it sends you to a page that cancels the original search made. Even if there IS a way to do this, the app is so poorly formatted that it isn't worth looking anymore

I just wanted to look on the website, but it kept taking me to download the app. This is just reminding me why I don't use your platform much 😑😑 Update: no, I don't use your service often enough to have the app on my phone. I like my phone storage to go to apps that I use regularly, not something to download, use briefly, then delete. I'll stick to Google reviews due to that fact alone.

Not a fan of yelp anymore. The app is bad and I don't think yelp feels the need to improve it since they pretty much have a monopoly on the food review game. Certain restaurants simply won't show up. Sometimes they'll show up on some days but not others. If I tab out the app and come back, it always reverts to the home page. If I know the name of a restaurant and enter it precisely, the restaurant may not show up. Something fishy with yelp.

Trying to do my first check-in was ridiculously hard, and way to many questions/pop-ups before I could post. You cannot edit or delete a check in if you misspelled or check in to the wrong location. I have to complete 10 Yelp check ins for a weight loss challenge that I am doing, so if I want to check in later, I can't when I'm "too far," so hopefully I don't forget to do it when I'm closer!!! 😡
