Lots of options in this app. The poses are demonstrated and explained clearly... the instructions are voiceovers that are a bit robotic/stiff with some strange wording, like AI translations into English, but it works well for me! I don't like too much chatter when I'm trying to hold a pose. I like the options of super short and longer practices so yoga can fit into any length of gap you have in your schedule. I appreciate the practice options that focus on particular parts of the body, too.
Reviews for Yoga-Go Pilates & Yoga Workout
← Back to Yoga-Go Pilates & Yoga WorkoutI initially signed up for the 3 month subscription because I needed something to challenge me in my practice. Unfortunately after two days and trying several of the videos, I have to say I am very concerned about the material they are pushing on this app. "No pain no gain" What?? I have been an RYT since 2015 and the videos are clearly AI; robotic voices prompting unsafe and dangerous transitions, no suggested modifications, and instructions that are grammatically incorrect. I don't recommend.
No way to search for specific types of workouts. The app interrupts every single session with a demand to rate it, which implies building an algorithm to recommend other things to you, but that's not the case. It's super annoying. The workouts are repetitive and the program I want to do requires using a wall, which is more pilates than yoga. I wish I hadn't subscribed for a year.
I like the movements in the workouts I have chosen, however, I thought after answering questions it was creating a program specifically or me to follow. Yet, I had to pick and choose within the app so I don't know if I am doing what I need to to loose weight. Also the voice doesn't match what the person on screen is doing. If they could fix this (because you can always look at the screen while doing the exercises) it would help tremendously! I'm not sure it's worth paying for.
just started, so it's really strange to try & give a real review. so far, it is easy to navigate, use the player & choose different workouts. audio directions are good, but when you don't know what a move is, I did find it hard to concentrate on the movement & look at my phone. guessing that will change with time as I grow more accustomed to the movements. I will come back later & update.
This app sucked. I was dumb and fell for an ad for it about creating a personalized plan for weight loss. Well, that plan was way too easy even though it was "intermediate". I rated the exercises as too easy at the end of each one, but they never got harder so I gave up. To boot, I got notifications about my weight goal "not getting any closer" every evening because I wasn't practicing twice daily. It felt fat shaming. In reality, it just wasn't challenging enough. I'd get a refund if I could.
My friend and I use this app daily, and for the first month of purchase, the app was great! Now, though, our daily sessions are jumping ahead, and they dont even give you any instructions on how to transition or how to position yourself. It's extremely frustrating, considering we both paid for the year subscription. I've emailed customer service almost a week ago and haven't gotten any response, very disappointing.
I've only done one exercise so far, but it was great. not too hard or ridiculous poses yet some challenging ones that I know will get easier with time. wish I didn't have to pay to use it though. UPDATE: I continued using this app and I loved it (I had it for 2 years), till it changed. The exercises used to be guided but went to a more generic, monotone voiceover. Instead of flowing through poses, they change suddenly which doesn't really give you enough time in each pose.
Really disappointed. I'm not affiliated or benefit from saying this: FitCoach app is 10 times better. I only signed up for this to use somatic yoga, and was disappointed. The exercises are not balanced on the left and right side of the body, it skips sides. The timing is off, it jumps from one position to the other with no time to gracefully change position, instructions are incomplete or wrong. You have to keep looking at the screen. All in all, a disappointing experience.
The app itself isn't terrible but billing is a nightmare. I canceled after the first 3 month subscription, or at least attempted to, the cancelation actually changed to a discounted price for another three months (which i failed to notice), and then after those 3 months, it charged me an additional 3 months at the full price. The company refused to refund the latest charge. Buyer beware. It's easy to sign up but difficult to cancel!
You do have to have a subscription but I have loved this app so much. I use it almost every day. It is awesome that it adapts and changes automatically so you do some of the same moves in different orders so you dont get bored. The voice of the daily workout is very soothing and I am able to really wind down after a stressful day. I would love to see the ability to swap out specific moves before you start the lesson or to have a list you can mark as to moves you can and can't perform.
Once I got in the groove of using the App 4 times a week, my strength and balance increased. There are many programs with many levels. Give it a try. It's so convenient doing yoga at home! Love it! UPDATED 5/2025 The Best Program was removed. The new ones are sketchy. Very short and unnecessary pauses, They said they updated it but its worse. I have to do 3-4 exercise series to get a 45 min exercise. I won't be renewing.
I will not comment on whether the app is good or not. My issue is that it auto renewed and I didn't see the email alert (haven't checked if there was one). I contacted them on the day there was a charge for $40 (ridiculous amount btw) and tried to get a refund. The response was that they only offer refunds if you buy from their website. Scammers...
I do like the app and appreciate the reminders. For someone who has been athletic, but never done Pilates, Yoga or Tai Chi; I do wish some of the Tai Chi movements were shown with more detail and in a slower motion format. But I am learning as I go. I'm not sure I will continue the app after my first three months though, as a local wellness center has opened near me with water aerobics, and all the fitness equipment . . . and I believe I enjoy that type of movement more.
I enjoy this app and appreciate that you start us off slowly, and for brief amounts of time. I'm hoping that as we go on, the time allowed for performing each of the exercises gets longer so it is easier to keep up-or perhaps start with more time for each set. The 10 second rewind is great! But I usually need to use it 2 times for each set! The only other thing I might suggest is some of the exercises could use an alternative, less stressful joint use. Deep knee bends are not an option for me. S
after paying for 6 months of the app that I was too busy to use, I finally started using it. Eight days in and it's horrible. Absolutely NOT NOT NOT of any use to me. It's actually causing me pain. I would have given it a slightly better review if they had a contact us section in the app where I could discuss what I didn't like about it with them, but I couldn't find anything. So yes, there's lots of other yoga apps out there, don't buy this one, find a different one.
Horrible! The exercises are difficult to follow & you can't watch the routines again to try to learn them to get better bcuz they won't show you the same routine twice. The "guided meditation" voices make you feel MORE stressed they are so annoying. I couldn't even get through a whole one! BUYER BEWARE!! It doesn't matter what day you're on on "your plan", they are still going to take $38.95 from your account on DAY 31 and even if you haven't used the app, they tell you too bad. APP SUCKS! :(
All ads appeared to be for beginners over 50. I purchased 1 year subscription. The intro was very easy to follow. The next workout expected user to complete standing downward dog, HELLO! That is not something a beginner could ever do. What are they thinking? I wrote a complaint stating this caused back issues, and they suggested I cancel which I did. I responded questioning if they would refund and I was ghosted. Not impressed at all!
DO NOT!! I repeat DO NOT even consider this app!! They charge you for twice every year, and when you try to dispute they refuse to acknowledge their fraudulent activity!!! I signed up for a $39.38 recurring subscription on Feb 11, 2024. One year later, they charged me that and then an additional $99.99 charge 4 days later. Worst decision of my life was Feb 11, 2024, when I signed up on an impulse. Never could figure out the videos, so didn't touch it for 10 months.
This is an update of my previous review. The app had not been working properly when I posted at first. Within a day of posting, tech support reached out with some recommendations, and the app is now back to working as it should. I'm really enjoying the wall pilates program, and the gradual progression is appreciated. I'm living with a ruptured biceps tendon, and this program is keeping me moving.
