Reviews for Your Food - No Waste Inventory

← Back to Your Food - No Waste Inventory

I can't believe there aren't more people using this app! It is super helpful in keeping track of foods and when they expire, and the interface is adorable. I love all the little icon options for each type of food. Yes, it takes time to input your groceries into the app, but it becomes a fairly quick process, and there is a function that helps try to speed it along by giving you past inputs. Very intuitive, super cute. If you're on the fence, just try it out. I think you will really like it!

What a great app! I had been hunting for an app to just inventory my freezer so I can keep track of what's in there. Somehow, this was very hard to find; a lot of apps concentrated more on recipes than a simple ongoing list. This one does it really well, easy to add an item and change quantities. Also, I get a ridiculous amount of pleasure picking icons for each item. Just note, there's no scanning function so everything needs to be added manually.

Love this! It allows me to keep separate lists for fridge, freezer, pantry, etc. As well as a separate grocery list. Let's meet input expiration dates of items and notifies me when foods are about to expire. Also let's me easily move items from one list to another in case I want to put stuff in the freezer to last longer. Not to mention comes with adorable icons for each food item.

I love this app, but I do have a few suggestions/requests. Add names to the icons, hard to tell which icon is supposed to represent what for some of them. An option to hide or remove icons. I have a phobia of scorpions & I didn't enjoy seeing an icon of one. Take and upload pictures of items. It helps to know what you're looking for. Thank you for reading! EDIT: Posted a review over 2 weeks ago. Couldn't see it on my tablet, so this is a repost.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. It's easy to organize my inventory however it makes sense to me. I can organize by room, by cabinet, anything! It's easy to make shopping lists, know when things are going to expire. I could go on. And everything is SO CUTE! LOL I'm really blown away. You can even share your account with your family members so they can add things to your lists too. There's no better app for in-home inventory. Seriously.

This app is exactly what I've been looking for! It's absolutely adorable, but still incredibly functional. I bought the premium version to have unlimited lists. I wanted to separate each place I have food in my house with its own list. My only suggestion would be a way to include my family members on the app. It would be nice for them to also be able to see/update the inventory and add things to my shopping list as well.

It keeps me focused and realistic. I use the icons to show what flavor something is or say what kind of meat. There are a lot of cute icons so I can take a glance and see if thats what I need. Good for short hand. I did pay for premium to have more lists and all, only because I like to get really organized down to what spices or broths are where. It was a one time purchase that I am glad I went with. Excellent job!

Just what I'm looking for. Now I can track 4 different pantries, 2 refrigerators with 3 different zones each, and 4 freezers. Expiration dates are worth the price of admission alone. Used it for 3 hours and decided to pay for premium. Now we can synch between accounts and track our Costco, Trader Joe's, Fresh Market, and general groceries all separately. Theme is a little cutsey for my taste, but it's easily overlooked for the abundant functionality of the app.

UI is easy to learn, fun and functional. Easy to put items in inventory on your shopping list, there's a button that will add your shopping list items to inventory. Easy to move items from one inventory to another or change the destination of a shopping list item, so I'm going to make recipes in my inventory lists and when I shop for them send the ingredients to the fridge or pantry with a few taps. You can even set a pantry item to 0 on hand, a gamechanger many pantry apps lack.

Interface is cute, and it has great potential, but app is not disability user friendly. No option to scan barcodes, which would be fine by me, except it forces the built-in keyboard rather than using the system keyboard, so I can't use voice to text or symbols. Length limit so I can't include flavor. No option to put in a frozen on date, only an expiration date - home cooked frozen meals don't have an expiration date. Icons are cute but kinda distracting trying to pick the perfect one.

Nice app. Needs to be able to scan items. Also tags to sort by would help. I love the super cute icons! I would like to see icons for nut mixes, bags of things that arent chips, kitchen items like aluminum foil, etc. Keep up the good work, very nice app! A way to use the user's normal keyboard would be great. The embedded keyboard looks cool but prevents swipe typing and auto correction.

It's very cute. The premium version was only 8 dollars, but it's almost nessicary to get to get unlimited lists and item slots. I would like the ability to make multiple shopping lists, as I am responsible for two households food, and buy my food from two different grocery stores. It would also be cool to be able to search via the icon, as in search "fruit" and have everything iconed under fruit pop up.

This is a great way to keep track of expiration dates! The icons are super cute, and there are lots to choose from. It requires an amount of work on your part to add the dates and info yourself, but doing so actually revealed to me what foods were long expired already and needed to be tossed. It has actually helped me plan out meals for the week, because it has a nice system of letting you know what is expiring first and what should be eaten soon. I'll probably be using this daily!

Great app!! It lets me sort where my food is in the house, how much I have left, and when it expires! It's a HUGE life saver, now I'll never let anything expire by accident again! I'm also incredibly fond of the adorable art style they've drawn the food icons in, and the sheer amount of how many there are to choose from. The only critique I have is that it can be difficult to find the icon I'm looking for at times, maybe it'd be a good idea to impliment a search function?

I was always finding one or a couple of expired products in my cupboards every so often, and it was annoying, no matter how well I did it. OK, this app is cool. you get 3 lists, which for me is enough. So far, this thing is great. I can keep track of food in the house, and it notifies me enough times to track the food. Takes the guessing out of monitoring use by dates, etc. I'm using the free version for now to test drive it. but I do like it a lot.

Overall a great user experience and rather simple to use. My only wishes are that you could have multiple shopping carts (for different stores, though I guess I can just add another list or two), the ability to scan items and have that pull in information such as price, and the ability to set your own icons. Outside of those wishes, I would still highly recommend this app - especially since it doesn't require a membership or a 3rd party account. *Edit* Developer added scanning!

We needed an app to track what we have in our cabinet. I was tired of items expiring and being thrown out or getting to the store trying to remember what was at home. This app is great for solving both issues. Now we enter our quantities, add expiration date and update quantities as we use items! Nice and simple.

This is the pantry app you've been looking for! It's cute and fun to use! The bar code scanner actually does a decent job filling out information automatically, and there's a glut of choice for the UI you use to enter your data. I very much appreciate the ability to alter the way quantity is tracked on an item by item basis! Especially being able to use percentage sliders! To top it all off, the premium version is an affordable one-time purchase! Super worth it! Seriously, great job, dev!

I downloaded this because it had the barcode scanner. literally every item I scan an item tells me that its "incomplete on open food facts" and that I need to fill something out. So I press the button and it takes me to a website wanting me to donate money to their food pantry. Good night tells me I have to create an account with that website in order to add something back on the app. hard pass. I really had high hopes for this app but no.

While it took just a second to get used to it, the learning curve was super fast. no ads, no hassling for upgrading, easy to use. I went ahead and bought the premium app to get more than 3 lists, and I do not regret it. A few tips for basic home use: streamline the scanning process by not bothering with expiration dates or purchase prices. double-check that your food counts are in units (like cans) instead of weight (like grams). we needed to know we had six cans, not 1500 grams total.
