I’ve been using YouTube Kids for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets kids explore all kinds of videos – stuff like nursery rhymes, cartoons, science experiments, and more. Pretty solid app if you’re looking to keep your kids entertained and learning.
Here’s what you can do – there’s a bunch of curated content in different categories like learning, gaming, and entertainment. You can set up individual profiles for your kids and control what they see. It’s got some cool features like voice search and an easy-to-navigate interface. And the Preschool mode is great for the little ones – lots of educational videos to help them learn their ABCs and stuff.
Look, if you’ve got young kids who love watching videos, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the algorithms can be a bit wonky at times and the ads can get annoying. But overall, it does a pretty good job of providing age-appropriate content in a safe environment. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a YouTube alternative for your family.

So here's my honest take on YouTube Kids. I've tested a bunch of kid-friendly video apps and this one's one of the better ones in my experience. The content curation is pretty solid and I like the ability to create custom profiles. That said, the algorithm isn't perfect and sometimes it serves up stuff that's not totally suitable. And the ads can get old after a while, even though you can pay to remove them. But for a free app, it's a pretty good option if you want to give your kids more control over what they watch.
