So here's my honest take on Yr. I've tested a bunch of weather apps and this one's definitely one of the more unique and visually appealing ones I've seen. The animated sky forecast is just really satisfying to scroll through, and it makes checking the weather kinda fun instead of a chore. The long-term forecast and environmental data are also nice extras that set it apart. The only real downside is the limited location data for places outside Norway, but if you live in a supported area it's a great option.

Description

Been using Yr for a couple months now. It’s basically a weather app but with a really unique and fun way of showing the forecast. Instead of just numbers and icons, you scroll through these beautiful animated skies that actually show how the weather changes throughout the day. It’s a super cool visual way to see what the weather’s gonna be like.

Here’s what you do: you can scroll through an hourly forecast and see the sky conditions change in real-time. There’s also a long-term forecast if you wanna plan ahead, and you can check details like UV, air quality, and pollen too. The app’s got a lot of features packed in, but it’s not overwhelming.

Look, if you’re into weather apps and like having a bit more fun with it, you’ll probably dig Yr. It’s not perfect – the location data could be better outside of Norway – but overall it’s a really solid weather app that I’d recommend checking out.
