Reached out for a refund request. I signed up for the workout app, and was sold the expectation that I would be paying for an AI workout. The application sent me through a quiz, and got me started with a workout. This workout was not custom tailored to me, having no data about my strength or athleticism, it gave me a workout that was far too easy. After going through and trying to do the body scan, I realized that this was an additional charge. Reached out for a refund, got ghosted.
Reviews for Zing AI: Home & Gym Workouts
← Back to Zing AI: Home & Gym WorkoutsSave your money. App doesn't even work properly. First time use, video skips if it even plays at all. Couldn't tell how to do most of the work outs because of that.. Once you open the app, it doesn't close. You have to force close it. There no options to manage the subscription in the app, I couldnt even cancel if I wanted too. So now I have to hope the app devs answer their emails, or check their app reviews. The app also gives you workouts using equipment that I told it I don't own. Refund!
I was interested in the ai aspects. You have to pay for the app AND have to pay additional cost for the body scans. Workouts are repetitive. The voice doesnt always match the video. The workouts, despite listing, I'm a beginner with knee problems, give you some very hard sets right out the back. The new activity streaks give me anxiety. I have worked out for 11 days in a row, and it still says I'm underperforming. I've had app for 3m, lost 11lbs but app is meh and costly at $18 a month.
I have a home gym full of nearly every piece of equipment, but can't stay motivated to do a full workout. This app keeps me on a good pace with a timer, has a visual for me to follow along with, and shows me the muscles I'm working. I can easily adjust my workout to target a different set of muscles, and change the length of my workout if desired. I've tried many apps, videos, gyms, and even had a personal trainer. This app eliminates all shame and insecurities. 10 out of 10!
App works well, but they bait and switch you on the price. At first, I was told I would get a refund of my 29.99 trial subscription cost if I upgraded for a full year for 53.68. When that never happened, it took 6 emails to get a straight answer on what I was actually getting charged. Who in their right mind uses terms like "3/12ths of a month" ? Again, app works well, but keep a close eye on your bank account.
Great workouts including warm up and cool down stretching. need to do more research to see where I might interact more with the coaches on some of my questions. But I would definitely recommend this the video demos are awesome. I hope if it isn't now it becomes available in a web-based interface so I can play it on a larger screen than my phone. I also love the ability to adjust the weight of the reps depending on how challenging each recommended exercise is.
I did my first workout with the app today and I also kept up with my numbers on my Samsung health app as well just in case. Everything was right until I completed the workout. All of my numbers changed. I then contacted support and there was no way to change the numbers to the correct data. So the app will not accurately keep up with your data and there's no way to fix it. I also paid for the body scan and they will not refund me for that.. only the subscription. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
The app is good so far. Thanks for the response. I now understand that there is no audio unless the workout location is set to "home". However, there doesn't seem to be a menu to control and modify those audio settings. Also, I can only pause or stop a workout in progress. I can't do anything else like rewind or fast-forward.
Eh there are better apps out there that are free. There isn't a way to get it to suggest other exercises or modifications if you can't do the assigned ones or a piece of equipment isn't available. The picture to get your body composition by AI costs extra, which you don't find out until after you sign up and pay. It allows you to set unrealistic goals and doesn't do much to provide guidance in meeting them. Really unclear what the AI actually is behind this.
I enjoyed the app, when it worked correctly, and the workouts. I am very disappointed that I've been paying for the premium subscription and haven't had access to all the features this entire time. My workout analytics don't update, ever. I don't have the workout demonstration feature. I've reached out to support and hopefully someone can fix. I'm not hopeful and will probably cancel before my next month starts. Biggest slap in the face was the body scan cost an additional $19.99
If I could give zero stars I would. It's extremely over priced for what you get. I had to daisy chain a bunch of apps together to get it to pull my activity on a pixel phone, I sent a message on the app for help which was never responded to or didn't go through, not sure. I paid extra for the AI scan but it wasn't accurate and I couldn't get it to accept a new scan. Disappointed all around and paid way too much for something that didn't function. Never did get any reminder notifications.
This app lacks functionality. In so many ways, it misses the mark. It's difficult, if not impossible to get the weekly schedule you want. I want 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. I indicators 5 days a week and it has a workout planned for every single day. If you use a heavier/ lighter weight than it prescribed, if you forget to adjust it you cannot go back and fix it. The workouts themselves are a bit lackluster. The only place I didn't find an issue was in the progressive overload aspect.
App stopped working a few days ago. Just hangs out their opening logo. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but didn't help. Before this, it was a good workout, if redundant. I had to regenerate the random workout dozens of times to get something different. I don't know about other people, but the app really REALLY likes wood choppers, lunges and calf bounces. They're in almost every workout and sometimes comprise the entire workout.
ok app, great for workouts. Has video examples of exercises and options for customized workouts. The app is overpriced for what it offers though, and even though you're a paid user, there are alot of features locked behind pay walls. Most of these are features that are standard with most other apps. I can do a body scan free with the standard Samsung fitness app. Why would I pay $20 on top of what I already paid? Don't waste your time or money, I won't renew unless changes are made.
This is a great app, but I would recommend a few changes to upgrade the experience. First, the app should work in the background so you can check text messages or emails during breaks and have the break timer still counting down. Second, the AI doesn't adjust recommended weights as I progress through my workouts. For example, bench press, I am working in the 155-175 lb range, but the app continuously recommends 320 lb. Finally, offer substitute exercises for when equipment is unavailable.
I'd love to give this app a better rating, and it may work great for some people. My issue, besides the payment problem I've had, is it asks for what equipment you have available when setting up your routine. After I went through all the info and told what equipment I had at my home gym, it gave me workouts that had none of the equipment I had available. The issue with the payment, I paid for the full year up front just a few months back and was just charged that full price again this month.
I wish there was a place in the workouts to add notes under moves. For example: today, my left quad was giving me issues, so I couldn't complete reverse lunges on that leg. I'd like adjusting reps and being able to delete sets to be easier and doable. Other than that, I truly love this app. It is so beneficial to see the moves in action and to have the ability to switch out a move for something else. Love this app.
Tried it out but ended up not working out for me. the workouts were not as intense as I'd hoped. This would be great for someone who isn't sure what workouts to do or needs help with a structured plan. each workout has a video on how to perform the workout and is overall easy to follow. Recommend for those needing a plan or want additional exercise guidance. App easy to navigate.
The app is okay so far, the plan schedule is a good fit for me and I like being able to switch from home workouts to gym is I need. Adapting the workouts for intensity is nice too. My big issues are it's missing some necessary exercises, the scroll bar for changing reps and weight is clunky (allow for typing please) and it can be difficult to add exercises and sets during the workout so it can slow me down during sessions. All in all a good app that needs some upgrades.
I love the direction that I get during the exercises. I also love how the workouts are tailored around shoulder pain , which allows me to still have a productive workout. The reps and intensity are not too challenging. I'm a "beginner" when it comes to fitness and I feel the impact of my workouts the next day, even after doing a 25 minute workout. Zing is definitely like a personal trainer in your pocket. I'm definitely loving it.
