This shouldn't even be considered a free app. Just got it to test out what features it had and how useful it would be. Started the first lesson then a test and got about 4 questions in, then a things pops up asking to buy the plus version and in order to complete the test you must buy that. And in order to make progress and learn or do more lessons and tests you have to buy it. Terrible app!!!
Reviews for Zutobi: Permit & Driving Prep
← Back to Zutobi: Permit & Driving PrepI'm a learning driver and I'm autistic; I download these apps to help me whenever I cannot communicate. This app isn't for me. While it is friendly and has a lot of questions that cover a lot of basics, and uses pictures as examples (which I'm happy about). It has a bunch of really frustrating ads and pops ups that make you wanna spend money. Some people can't financially afford the $4.99 bundle. It's annoying.
awesome app at a ridiculous price. I could really see this app helping me learn to drive. I am 30 years old and have a lot of anxiety around learning to drive. I also need pictures to help me learn which most apps like this don't have. I want an app like this to help ease me into driving. but I cannot afford this price and I'm sure many others cannot as well. a one time purchase would be much better, even if it was $10-$15 or hell $4.99 a month would be fair. a week? No thanks.
This app has the potential to be really good, but it's hard to tell if an app is good whenever most of the content of the app is locked behind a pay wall. People would most likely be more willing to pay if they were able to have more of an experience rather than immediately getting locked out without plus. Plus should do what the name suggests: add extra features. It shouldn't be mandatory to access all features. If you want us to pay so bad, then change your app to a paid application.
this app is ridiculous. at first it was great; I love the content and the quizzes made it easy to learn, but the ads are horrible. First off, I can only learn 2 lessons a day for free. That means its gonna take almost 100 days to study for a simple test here. Secondly, Ive watched ads so many times only to then try to open that lesson and be told Ive reached the limit even though I didnt even take the lesson I watched the ad for? Then I miss so many days because the ad fill is always empty.
The app is great so far. It covers the basics that I need. However, the lessons and the tests DO NOT MATCH UP AT ALL. I completed the signs lesson, where it talked about sign colors, and showed 2, and I mean 2 SIGN SHAPES. And the "test" was talking about EVERY OTHER TYPE OF SIGN. It expects you to have the knowledge to complete the test, and the so called lessons don't help you with it. Disappointing.
Great app, makes learning how to drive fun. However, I wish they had an option that was completely free. After reaching about level 4 or 5 it locked and says you need to upgrade to continue. And unfortunately it isn't a one time purchase, they charge a few dollars every week. I might have considered upgrading but I don't really want to be spending money on this every week until I complete it.
What the frick? Can't speak for how good this is because all of the content is behind a paywall. It has a supposed free trial, but I literally got it today, and nothing unlocked. I still only get the stupid first 4 questions of the quiz after the first short reading. I'm basically gonna cancel the subscription with 2 days 23+ hours left on it because it's proving to provide nothing. Also, scammy alert: you only get 2 free days since they say you have to cancel 24 hours before renewal date.
Horrible payment method , not details in subscription.I was willing to buy 3 month plus , but I was forced to get 3 days free , after that service was cut . Update: After trying too many times ,I did get the service 3 months. This app is the best!!! Passed my exams first try, 100 %,correct( from Florida). The payment method still inefficient.
You can't use the app unless you pay $4.99 a week. So any person looking to get better knowledge on driving without paying won't get it on this app. I got the oklahoma driver's book for roughly $9! It's a nice app, I can see it helping, I just don't have the finances to afford $4.99 a week when half of the time I'll forget about it. I downloaded this back in August, so if I got it then I would have wasted $60 already. This is ridiculous. It wouldn't even give you the actual experience of driving
This app is great at teaching you rules of the road and is a great learning tool, if you pay for it. Which is not an option for me (and I assume many other people!) A few months ago they had it where you could watch an ad, and it would unlock the entire test. But now, it only allows you to take half the quiz, and then tells you to buy plus, which not only does it stop you from finishing the lesson but it also stops you from proceeding. Which in my opinion is ridiculous. At least let us progress.
It's a pretty good app, easy to learn and memorize, also motivating. issue is the pricing. im not against paying for a good app, but $5 a week? i think a one time purchase is a smart idea- maybe $10, $15 dollars. or you could have users watch maybe 2 or 3 ads to get full access for 24 hrs, similar to the art app ibis paint x. if you make this change, ill definitely come back.
The app works at explaining how to dive and the rules of the road, the reason that I rated it so low, however, is the fact that it can't go three questions without asking you to pay gor the subscription, and effectively pay walls the whole app. So if you're willing to pay $5.99 a week, then it's a great app, but for people like me who were under the impression it was free, it will have to be a no.
DO NOT WASTE TOUR TIME!!!! They run on a subscription service that's outrageous given that you can self-study all the information on your own for free. I get it if you pay for the app one time (for the convenient userface) but I can't even get past the first level without it forcing me to put all my information into their subscription service to "try for free" Downloaded-used for 5 mintues-deleted.
I have to pay for it and can only do #1 without a payment out of 45 which is just, "Are you excited for your drivers license?". I can just get a free app that doesnt involve any payments of any kind. I saw this in an ad and thought it'd be cool since I'm working on getting my permit, but boy was I wrong cause I cant do anything without paying for 45 questions and then most likely not gonna use the app ever again. If it was free or had add on options that cost money that might be a better option!
This app seems to be useless unless you buy the Plus. I can't even get past the very first level/section without the "Buy Plus free trial advertisement"screen popping up and not letting me continue unless I tap the 3-day Free Trial button which would be fine but I have no intention of buying Plus to be able to use this app. So if you want to do five questions and nothing else, go for it. Because as far as I can tell, you can't do anything without buying Plus.
Literally can't do anything without paying 5.99 a WEEK! Advertises itself as free but you can't get past 4 questions without paying a weekly amount. False advertising and honestly shouldn't be allowed to be called a 'free' app on the playstore due to this. 👎🏻 I would have been willing to buy it outright but I will never pay a weekly fee for something I would only need once.
I bet the app would be great without the pay wall. But $5.99 a WEEK is way over the top. You can't do anything without the premium, other than 4 questions. If there was a way to get a monthly fee rather than weekly, that would be great. There just needs to be more options for payment and it needs to cost less. Don't get this "free" app.
Great at first, but it gets lazy once you've committed. There are multiple sections in the app covering different topics. They let you try a module for free, athen you gotta pay to finish. The first section is well produced, with images showing what is being described and even video of a car demonstrating the proper behavior. After the 1st section, they stop all demos and it's literally just a lady reading from a script. Also, there was an issue where I couldn't use it during my free trial.
Great app for studying for your learner's permit, especially for visual learners. On the expensive side with the weekly subscription; however, it's worth it, in my opinion, as I passed my exam the first try after studying the manual myself for months. They break the material down into sections you can master. Others wrote that the curriculum becomes lazy. However, I think that this is due to the material becoming simpler. They have a 92 percent success rate. It took me two weeks, and I passed!
