So here's my honest take on Alien Miner. I've tested a bunch of mining/strategy games and this one's actually pretty solid. The graphics look great and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. And there's a good amount of strategic depth without being overwhelming, and I like that you can play for free without having to spend money. But it does get a little repetitive after a while, and those upgrade timers at higher levels are a real pain. Still, if you're into these types of games, I'd say Alien Miner is worth giving a try.

Description

Been playing Alien Miner for a couple months now. It’s basically a cute little game where you control this alien creature on a mission to dig deep underground and mine rare resources. Pretty solid app if you’re into casual strategy games.

Here’s what you do: You start on the planet’s surface and your alien falls down from a UFO. And then you tap or swipe to dig deeper, breaking through blocks of land to search for blue and yellow gems. There’s also different types of rocks you need to watch out for. It’s got a simple but addicting control scheme.

Look, if you’re into building up your base and competing against other players, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it does the job and is worth checking out.
