Description
Been using ARC Browser for a couple months now. It’s basically a rom collection browser and emulator frontend – lets you manage all your retro game ROMs in one place and play them right on your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into classic games and emulators.
Here’s what you do: you can search through your whole ROM library, browse by system or category, and launch games using your favorite emulators. There’s also integration with RetroAchievements, which is pretty cool. And you can group ROMs with the same name together – took me a while to figure that out but it’s a useful feature.
Look, if you’re into retro gaming, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’ve got a bunch of old school ROMs lying around.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on ARC Browser. I've tested a bunch of retro gaming apps and this one's pretty solid. The database management and emulator integration work really well, and I like how it keeps all my ROMs organized. The RetroAchievements support is a nice bonus too. But it's not without its issues - the UI can be confusing at first, and I found the ads to get annoying after a while. Still, if you're a retro gamer, this is one of the better all-in-one solutions I've used.
