I've tested a bunch of rhythm games and Arcaea is definitely one of the better ones. The music is great, the visuals are super stylish, and the story mode actually kept me engaged. Sure, it has some of the typical free-to-play annoyances like long upgrade timers, but it never felt too pay-to-win. If you're looking for an addictive rhythm game with some depth, I'd definitely recommend giving Arcaea a try.

Description

I’ve been playing Arcaea for a couple months now. It’s basically a rhythm game where you tap to the beat of some really catchy music. The gameplay is pretty smooth and the visuals are super cool – it’s got this whole lost world vibe with these two girls that you follow through the story.

There’s a ton of different songs to play, with higher difficulties you can unlock as you get better. And the online mode is pretty fun too, you can challenge other players in real-time. The story is actually kinda interesting, it’s not just mindless tapping but ties into the events that happen as you play.

Look, if you’re into rhythm games or just looking for a polished mobile experience, I’d say Arcaea is worth checking out. It’s free to play and you don’t really need to spend money to enjoy it. A few issues like the upgrade grind can get a bit repetitive, but overall it’s a pretty solid package.
