The game is good and playable, but the damage when doing levels isn't understandable you can get hit several times in the first 3/4 of the 50 level stage but on the last few levels you get hit once you die, also when you play the arena you can get beat by what I assume is other players that have less power and less gear well....less everything. makes no sense.
Reviews for Archero 2
← Back to Archero 2The game is actually very well made, the ads are optional, and you don't have to pay to play. The reason for the 1 star is because of the devil's contracts and pacts. Honestly it's a little disturbing and creepy even if it's just in a game to have to sign a contract or pact with the devil to get a bonus. I always reject it so it makes gameplay harder since i miss out on powerups. I wish there was an option to turn off the devil appearances. Update please and I'll happily change the 1 star review
It's your run if the mill action roguelike. After a week of play, I can say the game feels uniquely inconsistent and unfinished. Text overflows text boxes for ability choices, some enemies have telegraphs for their attacks and others don't, there is no consistent color or sprite for enemy projectiles which makes them incredibly difficult to read against the noise of regular gameplay. It just isn't satisfying to play, really. Edit, 1 star for the BS AI response from the dev. do better.
Game eventually hard stops you unless you pay to play. You get to a point where you have to just sit and wait weeks for items to upgrade so you can proceed through levels. you have to buy to play more of the levels that allow you to proceed. greed stricken game as most are. could be amazing, but instead its predatory. Don't waste your time.
This game is fun, engaging, and challenging. There is always plenty to do great way to pass the time. Theres a few things I believe this game is missing that would please your player base immensely. -Less spread on the diagonal shots make it more of a forward cone so its more useful -Swapping orbs should be able to swap to different sets instead of just in to one of the same set -A dojo. Place where you could test builds dmg, synergies, see how they perform with selected upgrade, etc.
if you ever request a refund for an accidental purchase, EVEN IF YOU DID NOT SPEND THE RESOURCES GRANTED BY THE PURCHASE, your account will have a permanent negative balance regardless of how much premium currency you had. The negative balance will not go away. I spent some money during my time playing and enjoyed it, but the moment I refunded one accidental purchase my account is basically worthless. Do not support these practices.
I got the game when it came out & the game is a lot of fun. I have been playing it on a daily basis. I have lost access to my Archero 2 account, I basically have to start from scratch. I redeemed legitimate codes, spent money & time on this game. Now I'm waiting on support to basically start all over again or to somehow recover my account. I only play at night time, because I work during the day. I get no notice about this or nothing. This makes me want to uninstall the game & not play.
The creators will steal money from you. Following an accidental purchase, I immediately reported the incident and stopped playing the game. They claimed that one of the items within the purchase was automatically converted to a different item which made me ineligible for a refund. Absolutely terrible customer service. Thankfully Google was able to give me a refund. I wouldn't recommend anything created by this poorly ran company.
Let me preface by saying I know ads aren't "required" to play the game. When I started playing ads seemed to be short and simple, you watch a video you hit X and you are done. Now they try and sneak a twofer in everytime, you agree to watch *1* ad for *1* reward, but they actually force you to double down and watch "two part" ads and it's nothing short of fraudulent. I can't continue to support this, it's a scam.
Fun for a while, but it quickly hits a wall. Enemy damage scales up much faster than defense, so it doesn't take long before minor enemies are one-shotting you. There are also a LOT of efforts to sell you things as a player. Every time I log in they're offering some "special" or another. Finally, there are TOO MANY tasks. It seems great at first because there's always something to do. Eventually it gets to be burdensome.
Just a straight cash grab. Path is linear. Progress has obvious gates that forces you into playing for another 10 hours or just getting the stupid currency to upgrade your gear. The bullet hell they introduce is unavoidable in many cases so it's not like you can 'get gud' to avoid. OP enemies very obviously set and clear gear grinding gates. The amount of convoluted timers they have set for you to click and gain your little scraps of currency is absurd. Ruined the IP for a cash grab sequel.
This would be a vast improvement on the original, except that it's stupid how the game forces you to play the sky tower just to progress. That should be OPTIONAL! Otherwise, it's a great game. EDIT: I've reduced my rating to 1 star. Making people climb the Sky Tower to progress is STUPID! And it only gets even MORE frustrating when bosses kill you in only 1 or 2 hits! I'm equipped with all legendary gear, and still die like it's nothing! I regret every PENNY I spent on this trash game!
A sequel 5 years later should be a new experience, but this is not. Everything about this game, including monetization, progression, and chores, are identical to the rest of this genre. The original defined the genre, so I would expect innovation and a higher bar for this. There's nothing new here. It doesn't stand out at all. Very disappointing.
this game definitely feels better than the first, but it also is extremely lacking comparatively. its much harder and enemies take away like a third of your health with every hit, so u have to really pay attention to what you are doing. its also hard to really grind in the beginning because you are so limited on energy and tickets for the events. i loved the daily events in the first game! i also wish you had more gear unlocks, like the first game, like the spirits and the pets and the dragons!
Good gameplay, bad menus. The game is constantly showering you with rewards, but not in a way that feels good. You have to collect a million individual things between runs, but it all boils down to two currencies and some items that aren't as good as what you've already got. It's an ADHD nightmare of little exclamation marks. I like the actual game, but it's the constantly having to go through the menus to get the currency I need to upgrade that'll push me away from it.
Some changes from the original, but a lot of the same issues that burned me out of the first one. The grind wall seems to hit even sooner. More levels have limited size that prevent you from dodging while not hampering the enemies. Leads to many instances where if you're not one shoting enemies then there's not enough space to avoid damage so it guarantees hits on you. I really don't want to have to play the same levels for days just to make a small advancement.
I feel like it goes without saying that this is what the first game should've been.. This doesn't feel like a "sequel." It feels like a more polished version of the original. Though I enjoy the game, I do not, however, enjoy the constant prompting to spend money. Almost every screen promotes some kind of option to spend money, and when I close one pay promotion, I'm immediately spammed by two more. I don't download free games just to be constantly bombarded with purchase offers
It's pretty fun, but it does have its problems. Number one is one that has been mentioned in several other reviews: the difficulty curve. I've noticed the XP you get doesn't match to the total you can earn. As you level up in a game, the monsters drop more XP as you need more, but this game doesn't seem to do that. Not even for the hard levels. Problem two is that you need to clear an OBSCENE amount of sky tower levels to unlock more campaign levels.
Purposely searched "offline games". As you may have gathered, this game requires an online connection at all times. This is either a deficiency on the Google Play store (shocker) or the developer (another shocker). Either way, this game is not for those who travel and don't always have a reliable network connection. Unfortunate, as the game is a lot of fun.
it's okay but it's just like every other game like this. Your player only shoots when you're standing still. So you got a million enemies shooting at you and you have to move constantly. Then when their bullets hit you it only takes like two shots to kill you. so of course it's like every other phone game pay to play. and the one thing that I don't get is you can only get hit five times to achieve the star. if you have the shield it blocks it doesn't give you damaged but still counts as a hit??
