The last update was terrible. my coins keep getting set to $0 even though I haven't used them. also the option to watch an add when you run out of spaces is gone, so I'm stuck replaying the same level because I don't have enough money to clear some of the spaces on the board. Unlike almost every other game out there, you can't accumulate a few free coins daily.
Reviews for Color Slide - Hexa Puzzle
← Back to Color Slide - Hexa PuzzleI can see the potential of this game, I really want to like it, but it is pay to win. the game claims to be random, but I don't think it is... there is a very clear pattern where I will easily beat 2 or 3 levels, and then the next two become impossible to beat unless I unlock more spaces by watching ads. The fundamental mechanics of this game are flawed and it's not a fair or fun way to make a game.
Fun, but littered with bugs. Ads will often break and you can't close out of them (forcing you to close and refresh the app). Randomly, I'll be forced out of the app and directed to a page saying my phone has been infected with viruses (another ad). If you try yo participate in the toxic waste challenge, you'll never receive your reward. Unrelated to the bugs, the coin rewards are horribly balanced (each level = 5 coins, but a new life is 75 coins). All that being said, the game play is nice.
I really liked this game at first, but now, when I click on it, it goes through the 100% load, but then it is nothing but a blue screen. The game won't come up. Have to exit out 2 to 3 times before it comes up. After each each game, you used to have an option to "X" out, but it no longer works. Now you either have to buy or watch a 30 to 60 second ad to be able to continue. It's not worth the frustration. Did uninstall, reinstall, cleared cache. Nothing worked. Deleting app.
Could be great but...it's ultimately a rip-off. It's a no-frills puzzle which is perfect for me. Initially, gameplay is fun yet challenging, gradually increasing in difficulty; then it suddenly becomes much too difficult to advance without resorting to premium (paid) "virtual items." I already paid $4.99 to avoid constant interruptions from ads. I think pressuring me to spend even more to get past an artificial gameplay obstacle is manipulative and greedy. Phooey!
In concept, it's good. But it's deliberately designed to force you to watch ads even if you pay for the no ad version. Then it glitches after you watch an ad and freezes, causing a restart with no reward from the prior watch. The other frustrating thing is there's really no rhyme or reason to which direction color stacks will go. So there's no way to strategize. I'm unistalling.
enjoy the game. HATE the repeated ad for dreame-read romance stories. I don't know if the game has any control over what ads play, but this particular ad is disgusting and despite clicking not interested in this ad every single time it continues to come up every single time. Thank you for your response. To be clear, I understand that ads fund the game. while I do not enjoy them, I expect them. The issue was the content of that particular ad.
New obstacles added Sep 13 make completing games excruciatingly long. Now have to use coins in EVERY game to clear spaces to not lose and break streak. Very few spaces in new games, yet added obstacles need full color stacks to trigger actions, to release another obstacle that takes multiple triggers to complete (bees and frogs)! And so many more ads. Excruciating is not an exaggeration. Uninstalling game despite a streak of nearly 1600 games, with over 6,100 coins to use. Do not download.
so close to being a great game, but for some reason it stopped giving me tiles?? I'm guessing this is a glitch because why did it run out, out of nonowhere?stuck at level 18 because I simply can't do anything since it's not giving me tiles to put down. did this happen to anyone else? is it a bug? it made me lose my win streak because I had no choice but to restart, I assumed it would fix the problem and give me tiles again, but it didn't! now I'm stuck waiting to see if it'll give me tiles again
Agree with many others here, I cannot figure out the algorithm for which direction (off of or onto the places stack) the tiles jump. Feels completely random, which destroys any concept of a "strategy game" or "brain teaser". Behaves more like a slot machine, particularly at higher levels.
I was just about ready to give this 5 stars, thought it was different from the other ones like this, PLUS not many long ads. there are ads but very short. Anyway I got to level 94 and everything changed my opinion. it went from getting through the levels with very little cussing. Had a good amount of money and boosters, even won an event. then came the intentional trying to make you lose. 😐 all money gone all boosters gone, and still on 94 smh. buy this/buy that of course always pop up
I really enjoy playing this game and like the level of challenge that it offers. However, the ads are very aggressive and annoying: if you don't hit the X to close them precisely, you open up a link. When you hit back to return to the game, more often than not, the game crashes and you lose time waiting for it to open again. it's particularly frustrating when you're watching an ad to open a new hex space and it takes 10 minutes because the game keeps crashing from not closing the ads properly.
The ad that hooked me seemed fun. But, naturally, the game is not at all like the ad. Stopped being fun when it would repeatedly put me in no-win situations. I just feel bad having paid to remove forced ads only to force-remove the game. Also, the devs don't read the reviews, relying on canned responses based on singular keywords.
I'm enjoying the game, but the ads every 5 mins are driving me crazy. the game will run the same ads, some you're allowed to skip - it will ask if you're interested or not interested; I must have advised that I'm NOT INTERESTED at least 20 times! If this is a test game, I haven't been advised. The ads are ducking the life out of what should be a bit of fun.
The game wold be better without every single additional feature. I do not want to play a disco mini game. I do not want to play a slot machine or a spin to win. I ONLY want to play hexagonal tile game. Many levels simply cannot be passed without using special items. It wants to force micro transactions on you at all times. I don't think the game can tell that spaces on the board are locked when it is assigning pieces. It wants you to play an ad to unlock the space. Very annoying.
I've played a lot of similar games to this and this one absolutely seems poorly designed. While the ads are absolutely distracting and invasive, my qualms are more with how the game mechanics work. there's no rhyme or reason to which way the colors will stack and the next tiles offered are often opposite of what you actually need to succeed, forcing you to be reliant on boosters. I got to level 21 and have not avoided using any boosters whatsoever. Don't waste your time.
Ads are frustrating. I can typically deal with ads for power ups and that sort of things, but to receive an ad every step of the way gets old. The ads are loud, impossible to close at times. Some take 5 or 6 X attempts to close out off. Many take you to the play store instead of closing. Even noticed a fraudulent ad claiming LL Bean is closing that takes you to a fake website. Will be uninstalling and trying a different hex game. Edited to one star after response from publisher.
It can only be called a brain teaser if it can be solved logically, not throw random colors until you HAVE to solve it with a cheat of which you must purchase by either watching excessively long ads or cash. I don't feel "cool as a cucumber" after working out the best placement when there's such unpredictability to which way the tiles stack. Will the larger stack land on the smaller (most) or vice versa? I end up counting them. Brain teaser, Puh-leez! Wakeup, algorithms win EvErYTiMe.
The game is fun, but it's one I often can't actually win the levels without boosters. since the update last week, boosters are no longer free by watching an ad, so I guess most rounds are just unwinnable now. Fun while it lasted, but now that they want us to pay for things to help win levels, I'll be uninstalling. Before this update, I'd have given 4 stars.
The game concept is good, but which way stacks will "jump" is frustratingly unpredictable. Way too many nags about win-streak events - not fun given frequent very hard levels - and CONSTANT "limited time" sales that immediately restart on ending. Also, frequent crashes, and bugs like ghost platforms not turning normal properly. Some of the crashes may be related to my ad blocker, but if I had to actually see 3rd party ads, too, I'd have quit even sooner!
