Waited for this game for SOOO long!! Graphics, content, dialouge are phenomenal leaps and bounds from the first game! But the combat is...different...we're all used to the tap system which worked perfectly, but now? Inconsistent. Sometimes the presses don't register and you end up dead. Or you used a tool, and an enemy attacks and it won't auto switch back to your weapon, and you end up dead. Also this game makes the phone HOT! (Note 20 Ultra) Just a precaution on that...otherwise, solid sequel!
Reviews for Crashlands 2
There's a lot worth mentioning here, so I'll try keeping it short. the developer name by itself is funny, being two words that have no business being together, but now it's a good business, and it makes me smile every time I hear it. I love how the partial gibberish still somehow makes sense, and how so much info was made up, but the story still remains comprehensible. The differences from the first Crashlands, along with the similarities, make this game fantastic in so many ways.
Update. I've now put in 5+ hours in the game and feel like I have barely scratched the surface. There is a butt load of content for the low price of 10 bucks. It's a full game and you can tell the developers put a lot of time and effort into this game. Combat is a little janky at times, and it's hard to find the doors to buildings but this game just came out so these issues will most likely be resolved in the next patch. Also the resources it takes to build some things is kinda absurd.
Some people are annoyed at the size of this game. Me? I have spent 50 hours exploring just the first area. What it lacks in sheer size, it makes up for in sheer depth. This is a true rpg in every sense of the word, while also being a survival crafting game. they've taken the bad from Crashlands 1, what little there is, and they have fixed it. This is as perfect a game as it gets. Buy it on mobile, PC, or both if you like.
I have been a fan of the games that butterscotch shenanigans have made for a long time and was super excited when they announced Crashlands 2. I have been playing it a good bit in my free time, and the game is living up to the hype. the controls are intuitive and make sure everything is readily available. The combat is fast-paced and makes for a fun break on your phone.
Bscotch have done it again. I am loving how they have incorporated the progression elements so much better into story/quest lines. One of my favorite parts so far is during conversations seeing little faces with the characters reactions, I find it is such a nice extra touch. My main difficulties with it so far is: 1. The movement speed is so slow that it makes maneuvering during combat incredibly difficult 2. The dodge button is a bit too small, so I miss press it and die frequently
A sequel to Crashlands? Didn't even hesitate! Crashlands 2 is very similar to the first game but different in so many ways. No touch controls for movement. Instead, it's a virtual joystick. Or connect a controller! PS5 controller works flawlessly! Combat is almost the same in the way you time your attacks and use your tools wisely. Crafting is pretty much the same. Just different resources. Same humor and colorful characters to meet. And the world has a "lot" of color as well! Just buy it!
Super fantastic!!! This game is worth every penny and then some! Hours of play time, great graphics, good storyline and I love all the exploration, upgrades and pets! So very creative and immersive. I've spent so much time playing and haven't gotten even close to bored. Keep up the great work guys!
I absolutely love this game. I loved the first one and they made the second one so much better. A lot of love went into this game, and you can tell. There is a lot to do, build, and explore. Art, music are great. Gameplay is awesome! Highly recommend buying this game, enjoying the hell out of it, and supporting these devs. If the devs need a helping hand with testing or giving feedback on upcoming updates or games I am more than happy to help. Fantastic job guys!
This one has a virtual joystick and feels like a video game, #1 was nutty since you had to tap on the screen to move and attack. So far it looks like it could be good, Im a few hours into it and diggin it. Combat is totally realistic now, you have multiple ways to engage the enemy too. Its a great button layout and healing is very easy. You gotta move around and avoid attacks so its not too easy. You dont spawn with no health anymore so thats another plus. The map has teleporters to fast travel
