After playing this game for a while- I can't seem to get 5 star votes which is the entire point to game. The game set up and designed so the player is unable to design an attractive room without spending a small amount of real money. So you think ok no big it's only $1.99 n this room will look fab! But soon that $1.99 adds u cause you play it everyday n before long you are like me - stuck playing a game I'm not winning ( getting high scores) and spent $75 in one month....nothing to even show for
Reviews for Design Home™: House Makeover
unfortunately this game has declined in the last year. The gem items were always a money-grab tactic and I get it, it's a free game. But recently the prices have gone up 20-30% for everything and the art is either ai, recolored & recycled really basic stuff that looks like Clipart, or fair use classic artworks (don't hate this last one, but get a real artist)
At first I thought this game was amazing. And it is, for a beginner. Once you've been playing for awhile it gets boring. Once you have completed all the "My Homes" they don't have any more. And other than getting a small package of some wall and table art for leveling up there are no more perks. Like you still have the same amount of keys as a beginner, you still get the same bonus for logging in daily as a beginner, etc. It doesn't matter if you're level 1 or 101 you're experience is the same.
I enjoy the game Although I'm not happy that they got rid of the "Article " brand 😒 What happened to the videos and offers to get diamonds? Haven't seen them in a while. Some suggestions: 1 is a price range filter, for designers looking for items in a specific price range. 2 is make filters available in the inventory. 3 is ability to "mark" items you don't really like to much. That way those items will be easier to find when the truck comes.
Ya'll keep changing this game to basically force us to purchase diamonds or bundles in order to be any kind of decent at playing. When I first got this, YEARS AGO, it was fun, relaxing, and anyone from any class could play and do well. Now, it's all about diamonds and "new features" that require us to purchase diamonds or bundles to do a challenge. It's no longer relaxing, it's annoying and stressful. Also, ALL your "top designs" are carbon copies, it's SO boring & lame. I don't play much now.
I give this game a 3 star rating. Not because it isn't addicting an actually an awesome game. But in order to really be immersed in the game. you either need to spend money or you have to play A LOT of other games. Otherwise this game is fantastic. Just unfairly geared towards those who can afford to spend actual money instead of hours on sketchy games and even then you aren't always paid out. sometimes errors occur with the way you've downloaded the game etc...
Am addicted to this game and spend way too much time playing it and spending way too much money on it. I do like how I can earn diamonds but wish it was more diamonds at a time. My only complaint is to please make the "prize items" more useful. Most of the prize items are, to put it plainly, ugly. But other than that I absolutely love it. Also, shout out to the support team. It may take a while for them to get back in touch but they always do and are always pretty helpful.
Fun design app but it might be nice if designers on similar levels would compete against each other rather than it being randomized. It's hard for a designer on a lower level to win against someone who has more inventory available. I'd also like some of the prizes to be the "optional" items (wall art, pets, etc.) rather than mandatory items.
This is a pay to score high game. If you don't care about your rating, and only about what you can do with what you have - you'll enjoy this. But it regularly requires purchases to decorate your scenes with more than a couch and table. Additionally, a room with all your purchases will occasionally disappear and if you don't remember the name of the design, you won't get your $ or any of your design pieces back. 😶 Not cool - just another way for the owners to snag your $.
I have been playing this game for years, so clearly I enjoy it. The designs are great and the game is user-friendly. I was enjoying the seasonal challenges but now that the diamond rewards have been removed for all but the two top tiers, it simply isn't worth it. I'd rather complete the daily challenge and have the resources I need than complete several bare rooms a day and I refuse to spend more than I do currently for a "free" game. Mercenary algorithms.
