Misleading advertising. This is NOT the shoot-em-up arcade game that's advertised. It's a quest/empire game. The graphics are awesome (hence the couple of stars), but it's not the game they advertised. Very misleading. The game is nothing like the one advertised. The game takes a long time to load, and I experienced 2 crashes during the loading process. In game purchases are pushed, but I guess somebody's gotta pay the bills. Bait and switch. On the plus side, terrific graphics, engaging story.
Reviews for Doomsday: Last Survivors
← Back to Doomsday: Last Survivorsi've been playing this game for a while to the point where i've spent more money than i should've on it. i have many opinions on it, some good, most bad. by far my biggest gripe, and the main reason i may stop playing, is that it's just. so. BORING. 3/4 of the game is just waiting for things. waiting days for construction, days for research, etc. with nothing to do in the meantime. and the only parts that can be called actual gameplay (like bounty ground) have way too simplistic gameplay.
The server I joined was the newest and it was over 60 days old. Because this server is so old, myself and many other new players are at an incredible disadvantage when there are players with over 10Mil battle power. New servers need to open more frequently. I like the game, but being at such a gross disadvantage, the initial experience plain and simply sucks. Because you're new & learning, bigger guys keep you from progressing. Fix this. I'd like to play this game when the playing field is even.
I played this game for years and after update, the game became more confusing, and more challenging and players became more powerful because you had to buy rng to go ahead and promote your groups. It was at that point where I was just done with the game and totally deleted my account. It just seemed like no matter how far you got. There was that much more to go in. The only way you could get any success on it was to pay for it. Don't be fooled by the ads, they don't represent the game.
The rampant ads for this game are NOTHING like the game itself. I'm talking zero overlap aside from the logo art. This is ultimately a game that wants you to pay for everything. After a couple weeks of grinding for 'free', the game finally hit a brick wall of no story or forward momentum. It is built to require insane amounts of time and paid benefits to progress the campaigns or be competitive in the events. Bottom line though - this isn't what was advertised. What else are they lying about?
Not what the video advertisement showed. It is your typical build, economy, and fight game. It is not about running and shooting zombies while picking up weapons or getting more people to shoot your way through a narrow passage. Also, it is like a turn based game. Characters can't move while in combat. False advertisement and scam, game gets progressively hard, and either you pay to win or spend hours grinning/ watching ads videos.
When I 1st installed the game it ran great. But not long after the game has done nothing but lag, freeze and crash on me consistently. Contacted the support team in the game and they couldn't even fix the issue. My memory isn't low, I've cleared the cache in the app & the game is updated. My internet service has full reception as well. What's the issue?! If this could be fixed I'd rate it a 4 out of 5. But this issue has made game play nearly impossible and more of a hassle than anything.
Love the concept, and definitely want to rate it higher, but I ran into an impassable bug that has completely stopped all progress. After you're finished fixing the walls and the zombies come, the game freezes on that screen. Music and sounds work, but nothing else. I've tried clearing data, un-installing and reinstalling, restarting my phone, but nothing seems to be working. Definitely wanna keep playing this game, but i can't really do anything until this matter gets fixed.
Strike, NO spending, we need changes! Too much lag, fix the game and stop with new content that is braking your servers! . Late August update has been terrible, tried clearing cache but still freezes and lags ALOT and chat doesn't workfor some people. It happened in the middle of an event and caused our group to lose last time and it looks like it's going to happen again. IGG please get this fixed and stop pushing updates with so many issues pending.
I love the art. Girls. some aspects of this game are great. Especially the part of acutally fighting zombies but the game burnt me out completely. its very grinding and strongly pay to play. I have to wait so long and most the stuff worth getting you have to spend real money. in the beggening 5 but at this point I might just remove it.
I spent $50 and couldn't even win a lousy troop skin, then realized it's $1400.00 yes you read that right. point and click, good game for wasting time, constantly in battle all week, don't waste your money when you play, you could buy 3 PS5 for the price of a shelter skin...yes I've been playing this game for 3 years and I'm going to quit because of the time required to play...
I was on a roll in beast arena till it froze up and crashed, the glitching is so bad it's impossible to play, three or four times a day it will crash and crash, the software is confused or something, it's not worth spending money on but would be if it wasn't for the malfunctioning of game play. free game fun to pass the time.
I gave this zombie game 3 out of 5 stars because it has some solid elements but also notable drawbacks. The atmosphere and graphics are quite immersive, capturing the eerie, post-apocalyptic vibe well. The variety of zombies and weapons keeps the gameplay interesting, and the story has potential. However, the game suffers from repetitive missions and occasional bugs that disrupt the experience. The controls can feel clunky at times.
Edited Review: After over 2.5 years of playing, the game has gone from a "play when you want" actual war strategy to more of a "play when the devs tell you to, with fixed rules and massive favoring of p2w" this game used to be good and well balanced between non-spending, light-spending and whales.. now its just a money pit with more and more dictation on what time slots the events are even open. If you want to be told when and how to play a game, pick this one. otherwise, dont bother.
The game play was super fun, but I had to stop playing and refuse to play any of this company's games because they are corrupt. They offered a chance to get two legendary characters FREE with any purchase. The word FREE is shown in bold neon on both. I made a small purchase, only received one of the characters, and initiated a complaint. After days of being insultingly lied to, someone finally said they would change the wording to be more transparent. Nearly 2 months later, no change has come.
Liking it so far! I love a good zombie show/movie irl so games like these are sort of up my alley. Not typically my type of game (strategy/fort building) but it's holding my attention. I love the varied cast of characters with their own voices, backgrounds, themes, etc. The gameplay is easy to follow. It is a bit daunting with how much is on the screen, how much you have to remember, various different menu screens. It's overwhelming but I'm trying to get the hang of it. Overall very good!
Good game but expensive microtransactions. The gameplay keeps me entertained for a few hours each day. Artwork is great for the hero's. Hiwever my only complaint is that there are a LOT of events and some you can get by without paying. But others are locked behind pay wall's that add up quick. Also, if your trying to get a skin for a hero, its VERY expensive ($100+). It is also blocked by VIP status and then you have to pay that insane price.
The game is fun, but server performance is often poor during busy events. A little lag can spoil an alliance's best laid plans. Also know that if you don't pay, at best you'll be a middling player. At best, and that's with A LOT of online time. There are no ads, but every event is designed as a money grab. Enhancemens/Upgrades don't make the game better; they just provide more spending opportunities.
I had to change my review down to 1 star because the game seems to be heading in the wrong direction. The greedy developers are adding so much to the game lately trying to monetize every single aspect it's getting ridiculous. They're just adding more avenues for whales to continuously spend on. Heavy P2W. It's also starting to morph into a full time job keeping up with the daily tasks on a continuous basis every day. And now the 100 limit helping / healing troops with cooldown nerf!? Ridiculous.
I thought this would be a fun game, but after you get your team to level 33-35, it's impossible to level up unless you spend a """"""LOT""""" of money. for example, 30k gold prices are $300, 31k diamonds are $100. monthly subscriptions are $50-$100. if you dont spend all this money, every single thing costs money. money, for extra player, money for side missions, yes, some side missions are free, but you can't beat the enemy unless you upgrade your team, and you can't upgrade unless you pay.
