So here's my honest take on Dope Wars (Weed Edition). I've tested a bunch of these drug dealing/crime simulation games and this one's definitely one of the better ones. The gameplay loop of buying low, selling high, and upgrading your operation is really satisfying. And the different game modes and time limits give you a good amount of flexibility. But I will say it can get a bit repetitive after a while, and the paywall for removing ads is pretty aggressive. Still, if you're looking for an addictive time-killer with some strategy elements, this is a good option.

Description

Been playing Dope Wars (Weed Edition) for a couple months now. It’s basically a super addictive economic-sim game where you’re a weed dealer trying to make money and pay off a loan shark before he comes after you with a chainsaw. Crazy stuff, I know.

Here’s what you do – you travel around the map, buying and selling weed to make a profit. There’s also stuff like avoiding cops, getting robbed by muggers, and upgrading your business at the store. It’s got a lot of strategic depth but it’s not too complicated. And you can choose different game lengths from 15 minutes to a full year, which is cool.

Look, if you’re into these kinds of strategy/simulation games, you’ll probably like Dope Wars. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever and the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it’s a pretty solid time-waster that keeps you coming back.
