So here's my honest take on Duck Life: Retro Pack. I've tested a bunch of retro-style mobile games and this one's a pretty solid addition to the genre. The graphics have that charming 8-bit look and the gameplay loop of training your duck and racing it is super addictive. Compared to other duck/animal racing games I've played, this one has a lot more depth and strategy to it. Not gonna lie, the upgrades can get a little grindy at higher levels, but if you're patient it's still a ton of fun. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a casual, personality-filled sports game to waste some time with.

Description

Been using Duck Life: Retro Pack for a couple months now. It’s basically a collection of 3 classic duck racing games where you raise, train, and race your pretty own pet duck. Pretty solid app if you’re into retro-style sports games.

Here’s what you do: you start off with a little duckling and use various mini-games to level up its running, swimming, and flying skills. There’s also a shop where you can buy hats and other customization items for your duck. And the actual races are a blast – it gets pretty competitive trying to be the fastest duck on the farm. Took me a while to figure out the controls but it’s easy to pick up.

Look, if you’re a fan of the original Duck Life games or just enjoy casual sports/racing games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can get grindy after a while and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it does the job and is worth checking out, especially if you can get it on sale.
