Description
Been playing ElyGo Pro (Go, Tsumego) for a couple months now. It’s basically a complete app for Go (or Igo, Baduk, Weiqi) enthusiasts. Pretty solid if you’re into strategy games and puzzles.
Here’s what you do: there’s a database of 20,000 pro games you can study, and over 500 tsumego (go problems) with answers and variations. And you can also play online on IGS, import your own games and problems, and even edit them with the built-in SGF editor. Oh, and you can play against the computer too, which is handy for practice.
Look, if you’re a Go fan, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the AI can be a bit wonky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to get into the game or just play around.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on ElyGo Pro (Go, Tsumego). I've tested a bunch of Go apps and this one's pretty solid. The database of pro games is great for studying, and the tsumego problems are a good way to sharpen your skills. And i like that you can customize a lot of settings too. On the downside, the AI isn't the strongest and it can get repetitive after a while. But for a free app, it's definitely worth a look if you're into Go.
