So here's my honest take on Epic Battle Fantasy. I've tested a bunch of RPG and strategy games, and this one's a pretty solid option. The turn-based combat has a good amount of depth without being overly complicated, and the writing is actually pretty funny at times. And graphics look great and run smoothly even on older phones. The free-to-play model is also pretty fair - you don't need to spend money to enjoy the core experience. But it's not without its flaws - the grind can get a little tedious, especially for upgrades, and the repetition starts to set in after a while. Overall though, I'd say it's worth checking out if you're a fan of the genre.

Description

Been playing Epic Battle Fantasy for a couple months now. It’s basically a retro-style turn-based RPG where you start off as a max level character and fight waves of monsters to save the world. Pretty solid game if you’re into that kind of stuff.

Here’s what you do – you build up your party of heroes, equip them with gear, and then take on different battles and boss fights. And there’s also a checkpoint system which is pretty useful, and they added a new soundtrack that’s not bad. And if you enjoy this one, make sure to check out the sequels too.

Look, if you’re into retro RPGs with a bit of humor, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and it can get a bit repetitive after a while – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out for sure.
