Beat the story in 2-3hrs. Gameplay is smooth and quick. Guessing shadow is simply a guess. If you spend a lot, you'll demolish everyone everytime. Don't recommend spending, as like 12 of the 14 units are free and the game is overly generous. There's no point in spending, as matchups seem to be random. Could be wrong. Even if opponent is OP, you still get plenty rewards.
Reviews for Fire Emblem Shadows
this isn't a true fire emblem game, you'll have to rely on online matching with other members. The battle system is too slow and almost no control of what you want to do in battle. The only thing I liked was the art. This isn't a quality game from Nintendo. It feels like a cheap knock off of something as well known for the fire emblem series.
I enjoy the character designs and how the light and shadow concept work but I'm pretty sure you get bots paired against bots until a certain level (this is just because I immediately get found out despite playing my hardest to throw people off so it might just be a skill issue tbh). Battle pass is alright, not really appealing for now, but I wouldn't be surprised if they put some heroes people want to see in. The story is interesting, too. Gameplay is simple.
As a huge FE fan, I dont think this deserves the FE title. I'm not a big fan of all the characters being animals. the plot seems like there's so much laking that needs to be filled out. I also don't care for them putting legacy characters (like Lyn and Dimitri) in the game as furrys it's just very strange won't be playing it much anymore as the combat is repetitive and not very fulfilling. I'll keep it around, so hopefully, they give out rewards or something in feh for it.
This game does have potential to be fun, but the gameplay is just a big nothingburger currently. The matches are way too quick and it takes no strategy to play. If they can refine the gameplay loop, I'm sure this will become a sleeper hit. But, in it's current state, unless you focus more on the story of a Fire Emblem game, I can't recommend this one. Not yet anyways...
Given some thought after playing it...for 10 hours total : it's pretty alright. Still not Fire Emblem by any means, but it still has the strategy and a bit of Fire Emblem mechanics. Tons of skills to choose from playing with a variety of characters. Bazaar is a weird feature and just there to buy weapons/skills for the usual Anna price. Story....I'll come across it when I can.
It's far from a traditional Fire Emblem game, but it is still a super interesting concept and pretty fun. The game is also play to win rather than pay to win so I do enjoy that as well. I think the game just needs a little more strategy to it, which probably kicks in way harder in higher levels. I've got level 5 Units and the matches definitely feel longer than they initially did. But there isn't much strategy aside from timing abilities to dodge or preventing others from dodging/moving.
when I saw that it was 3 stars I didn't really believe it was gonna be bad. it's basically among us but with fire emblem tactics. except you can't guide your character; it walks for you, and you place where you want your attack to hit instead. you can be the betrayer or the light, you can queue for both but you go against randoms and the characters are easy enough to unlock. didnt play far but if it's your jam, I'm sure it will be fun.
Yeah, this game needs a bit more time in the oven. It's a good idea, but executed poorly. Active Time Battles? Sure, it's a mobile PVP game. Not being able to influence your own character's movement or targeting? Why? No gacha, which is a plus. Please keep it that way. Also, the story is simply lacking. Also, it randomly crashes after the vote. Kinda ruins the game when I don't know if I'll even get to complete a round.
This game is painfully mediocre. Character designs are cool, story is fine. Everything is is mid or bad. Progression is tied to how many games of Among Us you play. But the game feels random. Who wins feels like it comes down to "Did the bad guy have weapon triangle advantage". Some characters do feel much stronger than others, but every match result just feels random. I think the concept could have been fun but it's just so shallow and the most boring version of gambling I've ever seen.
