Reviews for Five Nights at Freddy’s 4

The best of the original 4 in my opinion. Plays and looks like the PC version. This game practically requires a good set of headphones, and I do mean headphones; most earbuds probably will not cut it as important audio cues will be too quiet to hear. Make sure you disable power saving settings for this game, or you may have degraded performance.

I love Five Nights at Freddy's and I downloaded this one for the scary characters and it's lore but since I downloaded it, it won't save my process. Once I'm in the next night and die I go back to night one where I have to go deal with the same concept over and over again. I don't know If this is how it's supposed to be like because I've never seen videos of people having to go reset their whole game. I don't even press 'new game' it resets automatically. I would like this to be fixed asap 😃 :/

This game is not only my favorite fnaf game, but it is also my favorite horror game aswell. Fnaf 4 leaves you on the edge of your seat the entire playthrough and does not give breaks when it comes to the scares. I loved the aspect of listening for the sounds instead of being in an office. Waiting at the end of the dark hallways, listening for sounds of breathing, was the best and scariest part of the game. One thing I would change about the game would be the chromebook gameplay. It is horrendous.

This is a great game! Everything went smooth until night 6. When Chica was at the door and I closed it, she didn't make any noise when she left, which caused me to die a bunch. And, Foxy is just UNCONTROLLABLE. He comes in litteraly before 2 AM. I SWEAR everything becomes 4 times harder on night six. before on my old phone, I was able to beat every night in less than 2 hours, but on this new phone, there's something wrong with the newer phone port. For now, I stop playing until this gets fixed.

This port is really good and it always catches me off guard with the jumpscares. The things that are annoying me sometimes are the difficulty with Nightmare. He's way quicker than my fingers because of the delay and it turns out to be stressful rather than fun. Otherwise, this port should have more screen size options instead of the classic 4:3 and the full only. My phone is pretty wide so the huge black bars annoy me during the playthrough and the full mode stretches the screen way too much.

I love the game. But whenever I record my gameplay of it, the sounds of freddles and another sound that nightmare/nightmare fredbear makes shows up in the recording. Though I can't hear it when I'm actually playing. In all modes/nights. The sounds in the recording won't stop for the entire night. I've tried everything but it seems this soley has to do with the app itself. My thinking is this is a screen recording prevention by the developers but it isn't included in the notes.

This is one of the best games in the series. However there are some bugs and glitches that affect the core gameplay of the game. I'm mainly talking about the delay of closing the door when you go up to the door, which makes 8/20 (7th night) really difficult. Also I have a glitch (on my older device) where chica on night 1 spawns right Infront of the right door and you can't hear breathing so I keep on dying at 2 am on the first night.

The game is simple but good. Easy mechanics and has a good aesthetic. Why 2 stars? Because dealing with Nightmare is so ridiculous, especially in 20/20/20/20 mode. Even if you're quick, he still kills you. No matter how quick you are, no matter if you close the door right on time, he will still kill you if his AI decides to. It's not even a challenge at this point. It'll throw this stuff at you just to be labelled "hard." If you wanna play a game with a ridiculous (unfair) mechanics, this is it.

Amazing game, favourite in the franchise. I love the fact that it also relies on sound, so you're basically forced to play on loud, which is pretty neat in my opinion. However, bit of a nitpick, the UI looks a little stretched out and the gameplay itself can also feel laggy at times. Probably just because I'm on mobile, but still, great game.
