I played through the first 30 game days. I liked it at first, but as it progresses, the challenges (orders) just get loftier, and loftier. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but even after upgrading the food generators -each spitting out multiple categories of items- it gets mondaine, as you must have a match all lower leveled items for everything. Then, you're using all 100 energy units in about 5 minutes of play, only to have to wait hours (or pay) for more. In short, it gets old quickly.
Reviews for Flambé: Merge & Cook
← Back to Flambé: Merge & Cookdoesnt offer any way to collect more gems or more energy. takes forever to get energy levels rebuilt. the graphics are awesome. the game play is amazing. Just wish there were more ways to build energy up faster and obtain more gems, such as watching videos or winning them for completing things in the game. edit. I wanna love this game sooooooo bad. but, I go through energy with in 45 seconds of game play. please fix this!!!! offer more energy and gems, please!
I LOVE this game. However, I do not like that it takes so much energy to get the items needed to complete orders; I do not like that there are not side events that allow you to gain gems; I do not like there are not side event or even ads to grant extra energy. By the time I hit the 2 hour flambé portion I am out of energy and have to wait 3 hours for my energy to get back to 100%. I do not like the items producing items for merge time out so quickly. The game graphics and concept is BEAUTIFUL.
This is about as fun & fair as merge games can get. I've tried quite a few over time & every time I get on a merge game mood I end up liking this teams games best. They don't have popup ads & the energy comes back at a decent rate, you also get a fair amount of extra energy pieces so you can progress at a fun rate without losing interest, I can't stand the ones that heavily limit energy so you can barely progress. The story is great & relatable, the timed events are even more fun!
I like this game. I find myself playing it more than any other game. the problem is you don't offer any other way to get energy, as in short videos etc. so I'm literally playing for a few minutes until energy runs out and then I have to wait so long for energy to be restored. it's annoying and I'm sad I have to Uninstall because it's getting frustrating to not be able to enjoy more time in the game without making a purchase for energy.
If you enjoy spending money to play then this is the game for you. Otherwise, you have the energy but the suppliers are down for an unknown amount of time. There is little opportunity for gems. If you spend the gems to get more time with a supplier, you get maybe 10 taps before its down again. You can either have a few minutes of play time or pay to play. It's frustrating because I actually like the game 🤷♀️
Progress was lost after Day 105, and over $150 in game extras. Customer service didn't do anything or offer anything even after showing the receipts, to help remedy the problem. Simply said, couldn't find the account, you'll have to start over, sorry. After this review the game will be deleted. it was one of my kiddos favorite games but I'm pretty mad the customer service on this sucks.
fun and frustrating. items disable super fast, no telling how long a cool down is to collect more sub items. and I'm finding, for example, with the fish nets once they finally cool down and become playable again it only supplies you with like 10 items before disabling again. (all main items do this, the fruit, veggies, meat, fish, and so on.) its starting to make the game less enjoyable. Im about to uninstall. just download "seaside escape" its a much more enjoyable merging game.
I love this game. however, I do have recommendations. like the bubble numbers... they should be able to be used without energy. I already had to earn them. also, the challenges can become overwhelming since some of the items take so long to get. lastly, points earned in challenges should be carried over. if I only need 2 points and the order is worth 30...I lost all the points that I worked hard for and that's not fair.
The game mechanics try very hard to force gem purchases. I will usually buy few smaller package or two for games I enjoy(ed). I did for this game. Big waste. Ultimately the only thing that matters for progress is the refreshing of the devices that distribute the food you merge. With gems. You could bave 300 energy but can't do a single thing with it until devices refresh. This can take hours for every single food category. This developer's Seaside Escape is soooo much better.
I do really like the game, but it's basically a "pay-to-play". To be perfectly honest, I don’t think I've seen a greedier game. You spend so much, for so little, with no other option but to spend if you want to complete events. It's a good time waster if you want a game you don't really care about. Has potential, but the desire to make as much money as possible off you is strong with this one. It's going to start hurting the development of the game eventually.
(Edit: There's not even enough character space for me to list everything wrong with this game. In short, the devs are whale hunting.) The monetization system related to energy is absolutely absurd. This game punishes players for playing more than a few minutes at a time. At first, it was fun and manageable. Then I saved up over a week on event specific currency... and opened my reward to receive absolutely nothing new.
This is a great game but when you get about 20 days in it starts to show it's true colors. The more orders you do takes 2 to 3 times more energy and it only gives you 100 every 3 or 4 hours. The places you build get ridiculously expensive and little to no energy for your trouble..you can't win anything because your having to wait hours...In a nut shell... This is the most rigged game I have ever tried to play..BUT if you have a lot of money you can fly through!!
Not consistent; a net, fridge etc will produce and give 10 items. once you let it fully charge it then only gives 5. It's super hard to actually earn energy and you're stuck either waiting 3 hrs or paying for energy. it takes nearly two days to complete a single game work day. Flambe mode comes at the most inconvenient time (5 energy left) when there's several orders. It's annoying because it's a decent game but clearly you have to put a lot of money into it to get the real benefits.
I liked this game in the beginning but cool down times are ridiculous. I spend a few $$ a week, but waiting 90 minutes to create 30 fish, etc is crazy. The boards aren't big enough to hold all the half built equipment that you are given. Rewards should be diamonds and playtime. I don't even always merge my equipment to level it up because I know I won't be able to generate More than a few items from each generator. The more you level up the more long-winded it all becomes. not impressed
This game could be so good, but this is by far the greediest game I have EVER played. You get nothing extra. Finish a day?... get some parts to build appliances that overall take up space because you have half built items everywhere. They like to throw timed events in the game, so you work hard to complete them... you won't, at least not without spending money. Gems? almost non-existent. Don't get me started on the cool down times or the fact that it will take you days to finish an order.
At first it was alot of fun. but lately when you get down to only needing one or two matches the source item will constantly "reload" and not just for a couple of minutes but for a hour or more. And when you get to use it again your lucky to get 10 items out before it "reloads" again. And that even with having more then 1 of the source item. This has happened to me probably 4 or 5 times within the last month. If this doesn't change soon I will delete the game
I enjoy this game, and the fact that unlike other merge games it doesn't force external ads down your throat, though there are quite a few internal ones to try and get you to buy energy and items. I would suggest, however, a few changes that would make this much more fun and less frustrating: - Being able to give a completed item to the customer even if the full order isn't complete would really help with organization. - energy is slow and gems are rare, an improved rate would be more fun.
I haven't even been playing this for 24 hours and the amount of "help" I'm receiving makes me want to uninstall it. Where I appreciate a little bit of help in explaining how the game works, most of us aren't quite stupid enough to need the amount of "help" this game seems to think we need. The constant interruptions when I am merging and forcing me to go build when I don't want to are BS. I can decide when I want to get my free gifts, merge my items, or build.
I absolutely love this game BUT you do have to spend a little money.. eventually. The beginning is super fun and lots of rewards are given, but when you advance in levels, recipes and goals get harder. It can take days to fulfill just one order so you miss out on events and rewards because you aren't able to fill orders as quickly. It is possible to play without spending, but it is not fun because you will have to spend a while waiting for energy to refill and generators to charge.
