The way it works is you start by spinning a random prize. Then you pick a letter to try and guess the hidden sentence. As you reveal more letters, the sentence starts to take shape. But the catch is you’ve got rivals also spinning the wheel and trying to solve the puzzle before you. It’s a pretty cool competitive element.

Look, if you’re into word games and trivia, you’ll probably enjoy this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and the ads can get annoying. But overall it’s a pretty solid app that scratches that word game itch. Worth checking out for sure.

I've tested a bunch of word games on my phone and Fortune Words – Lucky Spin is one of the better ones. The whole wheel-spinning mechanic is really fun and adds a nice element of luck and competition. The puzzles are challenging but not so hard that you get frustrated. And I like how they've got mature, adult-oriented themes instead of the usual kiddie stuff. The graphics and presentation are pretty polished too. The main downside is the grind for upgrades and the ads, but that's par for the course in free-to-play games these days. Overall, I'd say it's a great option if you're looking for an engaging word game with a unique spin on the formula.
