I’ve been playing Her Story for a couple months now. It’s basically an interactive crime drama where you search through a police database full of video clips to piece together a missing person case. Pretty cool concept, right?
Here’s what you do – you log into this old computer and start searching for keywords from the interviews. There’s hundreds of short video clips you can watch, and you have to figure out how they all fit together. It’s got a really neat nonlinear storytelling thing going on. Took me a while to get the hang of it, but once you get into it, it’s pretty addicting.
Look, if you’re into mystery games or true crime stuff, you’ll probably get a kick out of Her Story. It’s not perfect – the search system can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does a great job of drawing you into the story. Definitely worth checking out.
