So here's my honest take on Hey Duggee: The Exploring App. I've tested a bunch of educational games for kids and this one's pretty good. The production values are high, with cute graphics and fun sound effects. And the variety of activities is great - keeps things from getting too repetitive. But I will say, some of the mini-games require more coordination than I expected. Might take younger kids a bit to get the hang of it. Overall though, it's a solid option if you want a safe, ad-free app to keep your little ones engaged.

Pros

  • Tons of different activities to earn badges
  • Nice mix of creative, educational, and reaction-based gameplay
  • Looks and sounds great, with the classic Duggee charm
  • Free to play, no need to spend money
  • Keeps kids entertained while teaching them new skills

Cons

  • Some of the mini-games are a bit tricky for quite young kids
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for the ad-free version
  • Progression feels a bit slow at higher badge levels

Description

Been using Hey Duggee: The Exploring App for a couple months now. It’s basically an adventure game where you go on quests with Duggee and the Squirrels to earn badges. Pretty solid app if you’re into educational games for kids.

Here’s what you do: there are seven different activities, like setting up a tent, building a train set, digging for fossils, and more. You complete each one to earn a new badge. And it’s got a nice variety of gameplay – some are reaction-based, others are more creative. Took me a while to figure out how to do the rocket ship one, but it’s useful for learning about the planets.

Look, if you’ve got little ones who are into Duggee, they’ll probably love this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job of keeping them entertained and learning. Worth checking out.
