So here's my honest take on iago - Learn Japanese. I've tested a bunch of language learning apps and this one's a pretty solid option. The visual novel format is unique and makes studying a lot more engaging than flashcards or textbooks. And the conversations feel natural and it's helpful to practice speaking out loud. The only downsides are that it can get repetitive after a while and the ads are a bit intrusive. But overall, it's a fun and effective way to start learning Japanese.

Description

Been playing iago – Learn Japanese for a couple months now. It’s basically a visual novel game where you follow this girl named Iako-chan and her parrot Iago on adventures around Japan. The goal is to learn conversational Japanese through real-world situations and dialogues.

There’s a ton of different scenarios you can go through – everything from shopping at a market to ordering food at a restaurant. You get to practice speaking the phrases out loud and the app gives you feedback on your pronunciation. It’s a pretty cool way to build grammar and vocabulary skills.

Look, if you’re trying to learn Japanese, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it’s a fun and effective way to pick up the language. Worth checking out, especially if you’re into visual novels or learning through stories.
