So here's my honest take on Identity V. I've tested a bunch of horror/multiplayer apps and this one's actually pretty solid. The 1v4 gameplay is super intense and the gothic art style really sets the mood. I like how each survivor character has unique abilities that you can level up. The killer role is fun too - you've gotta really outplay the survivors to come out on top. That said, the progression system is a bit grindy and the matchmaking can be slow at times. But overall it's a well-made, addictive horror game that fans of the genre will enjoy.

Pros

  • Tons of strategic depth without being overwhelming
  • Graphics look great and run smooth on older phones
  • Free to play, don't need to spend money to enjoy it
  • Unique 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer is really tense
  • Unlockable character abilities add some cool variety

Cons

  • Upgrades and progression take forever at higher levels
  • Matchmaking can be slow, especially in off-peak hours
  • Gets a little repetitive after playing for a while
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay for the pass

Description

I’ve been playing Identity V for a couple months now. It’s basically an asymmetrical horror game where four survivors have to work together to escape from one killer. The gothic Victorian style looks really cool and the 1v4 gameplay is pretty intense.

Here’s what you do: as a survivor, you gotta decode these cipher machines to open the gate and escape. But the killer is hunting you down the whole time, so you’ve gotta hide, loop them, and save your teammates when they get downed. There’s also these special abilities you can unlock for each character which is a neat touch.

Look, if you’re into horror games and don’t mind a bit of a challenge, you’ll probably dig Identity V. It’s not perfect – the matchmaking can be a little slow and the upgrade system is grindy – but overall it’s a pretty solid asymmetrical multiplayer experience. Worth checking out for sure.
