So here's my honest take on Kids Learn about Music. I've tested a bunch of music learning apps and this one's pretty solid. It's got a nice variety of activities to keep kids engaged, and the production values are decent - the graphics are colorful and polished. And the piano and notes lessons are especially well done. On the downside, it can get a little repetitive after a while, and the free version has some pesky ads. But if you're looking for a comprehensive, kid-friendly way to introduce music, this is a good option.

Description

I’ve been using Kids Learn about Music for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that teaches kids the basics of music – things like the keyboard, notes, instruments, and different genres. Pretty solid app if you’re looking for something educational but still fun for your little ones.

Here’s what you do: there’s a piano section where kids can tap on the keys and hear the sounds. They can also learn to play simple songs by following the notes. There’s also a notes section to learn the names and placement on the staff, and a keys activity to get familiar with major and minor keys. Oh, and they have an instruments section that teaches the sounds of 10 popular instruments. Pretty cool stuff.

Look, if you’ve got young kids who are into music, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job of making music education fun and engaging. Worth checking out.
