in the beginning the game was good. should start off by saying the graphics they play to preview the game don't match up at all. second, I'm at a point where it doesn't seem fun anymore and I'm just continuously upgrading things. wish it was more jail and inmate focused, seems alot of upgrading and getting supplies focused
Reviews for Lands of Jail
Pay to win game, don't play this unless your completely fine wasting money on this greedy game. Don't expect to spend little and get far, you need to spend alot. For example the collection in the trove is a prime example. spending $5 is only enough to do 1-2 upgrades at early stages which is where im at and there's 6 collection gear you can upgrade. Don't spend money on the game :(
the game is listed as a "tycoon" and "simulation." IT IS NOT. I spent hours playing, thinking that it was a cool idle prison tycoon game. But then, at level 5, you learn that this is an alliance multiplayer game, where you are on a huge battle map crowded by other players, you get attacked by other players, need shields, have "rallies", etc. I'm not a fan of those games. if that's not your type of game, steer clear. it's not as advertised. even the screenshot don't show the multi-player aspects.
The game was just like all the others in this genre. I played it for about 15 mins, then uninstalled it. I can tell that it will eventually require spending to really progress, and the beginning process is entirely too slow for what you are doing in the game. Graphics and story are basic. If you've played any type of idle tycoon type game you can skip this one.
I like the game itself. However, I keep getting griefed by other players on my server. I don't have any options to change servers either, so decided I'm done playing. I really don't feel like starting over after all the time and work I spent on my current prison. Just done. Uninstalled it. I don't recommend using server 70 if you're a new player. They have big clans with lots of power who spend all their time destroying defenseless individuals like myself.
Probably the best game of its type I've played. There are traditional gimmicks seen in all these games, but the learning curve is satisfying, the graphics are fun, it's generally pleasant to be in the "alliances" with others, and there's a solid translator to help everyone in the world communicate. People insisting it's pay-to-win or that energy runs out too quickly clearly haven't understood the game yet, nor how to balance resources well. This is a great little addictive time-waster!
not as advertised, gotta reload the game constantly when you boot up, because they can't fix the black screen, you are most likely gonna load into, get stuck on a server, that is dead and you don't like it, spend cash, no migration, but you can make a new account on another server and spend more money, support is mostly bot responses, if I didn't use Google play cards to purchase, I'd refund the 7 grand I put into it, buyer remorse big time.
terrible game. the game allows other players to attack and destroy other players that are at a vastly lower level. the attacked player is not permitted to attack the attacker because the other player is more than 10 levels higher. so in essence, you can have your game destroyed but unable to retaliate. so, you are required to spend a lot of money to play.
It was new and trending, The previews make it look to be different from other games already established like it. It's misleading and the worst part is, the Dev. Play alongside you boosting up "free" to instill some "real purchase" motive to keep up with them. Then when you don't bend, they unleash P2W advantages on you. I would highly recommend you spend your time on something better and not a copy of other games.
It starts out okay like some kind of prison tycoon but like others here have said, it turns out to be a world spanning alliance game. Well, okay, whatever, I still tried to play. I'm just simply hitting a wall now though, there's nothing to really do but wait for upgrades now and the prison may as well just be a military base. It feels conflicted on what it wants to be. it's also very monetized so if you don't spend money you'll be raided by much stronger players and there's nothing you can do.
