I almost played this game for a year. Deleted because it gets to a point where you have to purchase items to get further. I am most mad a out the ads lately. They are NOTHING like the game play. Only so called "similar theme" is the zombies. If they put just a tiny bit of the time they use to come up with new fake advertisements, it would go a long way. You should be ashamed with the false advertising. Actually make the game like the ads if you are going to deceive and lie to people.
Reviews for Last Shelter: Survival
← Back to Last Shelter: SurvivalI played this game for over a year, and it was good, but it's very aggressive on making you pay and got tired of getting attacked when I wasn't on for just a couple of minutes. It sucks they don't have some type of sheild for when your off line for so long so all your hard work and payments don't go to waste. So I started playing state of survival which is almost the same but not as aggressive.
Game is fun and fast until you get to the higher levels. Then it's very hard to keep builders and techs upgrading due to the cost of resources. Still have fun wrecking the map. That was then this is now. Cross server battle's are unfortunately one-sided. We had a battle against a server 84 servers older. Unsure how often new servers come out but to say the least it was a slaughter. Weeks worth of resources collocation and troop building squashed in minutes with no hope. More to complain about
Not a bad game overall. Much more fun in the beginning when you first start out. There's much more to do and build. As the game progresses that slows down considerably. Then it's upgrade and wait... gather and wait... train troops and wait.... Not to mention the other morons that are playing the game that insist the only reason for the game is to Pummel you into submission over and over again for very little gain. I had my fun and I'm moving on.
it's already been said a thousand times but this game is falsely advertised. There are 3 or 4 ads for this game all with different play styles, i.e. fallout shelter (not like it at all), a first person shooter (also, nope), a style reminiscent of Mario where you avoid zombies screen to screen (huh uh), and a nice clean high graphic sandbox that gives you total freedom on base design (it is kind of sandbox but in the worst way). It is terrible, requires pay to advance, and isn't fun. Ban this Dev
Saw an ad for this game, thought it looked cool. Really thought it was you against the zombies, but nope, it's a PVP game. Not what was advertised at all. Personally can't stand PVP games, and would never have downloaded this if I'd known that was what this was. Also, the constant scrolling alerts across the screen about other players activity is super annoying. Pops right up and blocks your view of your city or whatever else you're trying to do.
Advertisement for the game popped up on another app, an autoscroller game where you move down a path to the left and right through gates to increase troops and weapons while tearing through an endless zombie horde until you died. It seemed like some easy, mindless fun for a mental break, so I downloaded it. Turns out, the game is nothing like what was advertised and is instead a building game that actually takes some time, thought, and effort. TL;DR False advertising.
The ads are lies. I played for over a week, and saw none of the things the ads promise. There is no tower defense. There is no actual "survival." The zombies don't even attack your fence. It's just yet another AFK city-builder with required speed-up items that players are forced to spend money on. I've seen this game before, over and over again. This offers NOTHING new.
So the ad is deceiving, duh. The tower defense part is a mini game of the actual game, which is essentially Farmville. Seriously, it makes up 1 percent of the game. 1 map, a few turrets. It's ad bait, and has terrible mechanics. (For instance, if a zombie dies, but it's body/death animation falls forward over the finish line, you lose.) I'm talking PS1 effort. It's so bad it's funny lol. A build your own kingdom online pay to win fest. That being said, the actual game hidden inside is okay.
Edit* issue was fixed. Game is a good time waster. If you dont want to put out the money, itll just take longer for you to plus up. Wish it was a single player game that actually focused on zombies. Like an age of empires type game. But, its just like Mobile Strike from a few years ago. Benefits screen locked/frozen. I have over 12 items to claim but it only shows day 1 screen. Unable to email developers in game leads to me having to come here to get their attention.
Bottom line, pay to win. This game also has very little to do with zombies. Rather, it's just a game about war. I dont know how it makes sense but you build up an army and then you can "teleport" your city anywhere you want, attack another city, then teleport someplace else and do it all over again. Past a certain point in the game, the resources needed to proceed are astronomical. It gets difficult to get anything done without paying. There are players that have paid over 50K and they dominate!
This game is nothing like the ads. It is not a turret defense game and here is no turn based strategy. Very misleading on the game features. There is no vehicle of unit customization. You build buildings, gain resources to level up. That is basically the game. I have been playing a little bit and it is fun as long as you join a good alliance. If you do not you risk being farmed by higher levels. It is best to chat with more advanced players to figure out how to maximize your resources and use them in the best way to level up.
This is a repetitive game that is pay to win and I refuse to pay to play this game. Now if it was anything like the false advertisement that was constantly pushed on us, then I would probably spend a little money to help me win. But u can't even fight the zombies, ur not saving anyone, there's nothing from the ads in this game. Instead it's just a repetitive game of upgrading, training, collecting, researching, and helping your alliance team. After a week of this I got bored and deleted it.
So far so good. its another "build and wait" game but a survival kind of theme. great graphics and sound. EDIT: After playing for 2 weeks I grow frustrated. People that are WAAY higher levels can attack you and wipe out your resources. Very unfair for people just starting out. This should be balanced out. I got attacked 4 times by the same person within a few hours. Not cool
I started playing Last Shelter from its inception. Over the years I watched it grow into what it is today, but all things must come to an end. I've played for many years and thousands of players dwarf my base power like nothing. It's more pay-to-win now than it was 5+ years ago. Once you're attacked you're basically marked for life unless you migrate to another state. Thousands of players buying and selling bases with multiple accounts rule this game and it's just not worth it anymore.
The prologue is extremely log and arduous. There should be an option to dismiss it. The rate that payers can increase is rediculous. If you don't have a decent amount of financial wealth put into the game you are sure to get smashed. Also, player can teleport while attacking so that they aren't countered. This should be evaluated as well due to rogue elements that pay a few dollars and get away freely after robbing people who apply effort to the game itself. I understand monetization, but there has to be a limit. There are none in this game. I give it a solid 3.
Complete and utter deceitful ad's. This is among the worst pay to play games. It's also one of the biggest time-suck games. The top players, whom you will never stand a chance against have admittedly dropped WELL over $50,000 (real money) on upgrades and in-game app purchases. There is also a huge unfair disparity between costs in-game purchases from one country to another. In other words, if you live in Korea, the same in-game purchase costs a fraction of what someone in the U. S. would pay.
Fun game, but gets repetitive. Free to play, but don't expect to be competitive. Pay to play dominates this game. I quit playing this game after years when it became clear the devs only want to keep cash rolling in and show little to no interest in fixing long standing bugs and issues with game play and outrageous power imbalances.
I loved the game, but after I realized it's a pay-to-win game it took the joy out of it.The developers are greedy and stingy with the drops you buy,1% chance or less for 5 or way more dollars, to win a base skin. Is a small example of the BS. Also the pictures in the advertisement above are very misleading, most of those you will never see in the game. My 5 stars drop to 1 after many wasted hours figuring the hard lesson out!
The game is expensive if you want to grow, free is little & very limited. The game is hard to figure out and understand with alot. There's very little information given on how to play the game or the missions. Mega players dominate with big credit cards. Eventually the game becomes tedious after a while just trying to figure out and compete. Growing large and creating an army in this game is if you get the credit card out and start spending.
