It's a good game, been playing for almost a year. But the amount of updates you get a month (2-3+) are just ridiculous. Moreso now because they've blocked off some features of the game until you do update it, so you're either forced to do it, or not able to get the full experience of the game. I can go on with the issues that this game has, but it's not like they would listen to anyone who doesnt pay loads of money on this game (pay-to-play players). I'm both a f2p (free-to-play mainly) and p2p.
Reviews for Lords Mobile: Kingdom Wars
Not a battle royale by any stretch of the imagination, in fact none of the screenshots here represent the actual game that I saw. Most of the game is spent at map-level view, upgrading buildings and stuff, which you can only upgrade one at a time. Interface is insanely confusing, game has too many sub-games (hero campaign, coliseum, invasions, monster nests?) and doesn't do any of them well.
There's not really much to do after the first day other than wait. Day 1 was a steady stream of building, training, researching, and having skirmishes, but I'm at the point now where the skirmishes and battles require much higher skills than I've achieved, and advancing each building/skill/troop level takes hours and hours of waiting...unless you pay. Which, I suppose is why the developers built it like this. Meh, I got a day out of it. Deleting here shortly...
This is NOT the gameplay they show in the preview! It's NOTHING LIKE it! This is a pay to win clan game. You build your castle, train soldiers, collect resources, and HAVE to join a clan. Just to get crushed by a big spender when you're not shielded. I downloaded this game looking for a tower defense single player game. The game they show looks plain, simple and fun. Exactly what I wanted. Wish they would just make that game.
Lords mobile is my favorite game. It's a real time, tower defense, strategy game. But its unlike any game I've played in these categories before, it stands out with its unique gameplay and extras that add to the fun of the game. Attacking, and the "campaign" levels are by no way point and click at random. Sure, you can take this approach but you'll lose every attack, and get stuck on the 2nd chapter for the campaign. So any review claiming this obviously didn't play long.
Lowered my rating A very long term game. Playing almost 3 years now, daily, and I'm far, very far from being one of the big ones. I wonder myself, why I'm still playing it. If you want to grow fast and be strong, be ready to spend money, lots of it. I'm taking about up to $100 at a time, seriously! Plus the game doesn't compensate for P2P vs F2P ratio like other games I've tried. I used to spend money on it, but gave up, there's no ending, only buying and buying, some people spend thousands!
This game caters to the money spenders, its somewhat - difficult at the start, but i highly recommend join a guild. The game it self is pretty okay, but i still find this game frastrating especially when it has to do with monster hunting. Level 1s, easy 1-hit-kill; Level 2s , takes 3 or 4 hits; Level 3s 9 or 10hits; Level 4 you can't solo it unless you use additional energy and/or the sabertooth's ultimate skill, and the same goes with Level 5s. The game is roughly over 4 years, like please Fix!
After a week of playing, I can fairly confidently say that this game is basically pay-to-win. If you don't dump money into the game (or manage to join a guild full of people who do), you will be nothing but fodder for the players who do spend cash. There is no strategy. It's simply a game of numbers (whoever has the biggest army). The individual aspects of the game are fun for a short while, but the meta is terrible game design. Low levels are mixed with max levels.
dropping this from 5 star to 2. When you play a game of strategy you don't really care how it looks so much as how the numbers work out. Can be played as a f2p, but pay2play is too strong . No commercials the company doesnt own. only improvements would be that you need to feed troops. not just train them. many players have millions of troops to trap or rally with and no way it was realistic for upkeep. fix server errors. the game is glitchy and i have played through it for 3 years already.
It's a very one sided game. Like most games that are like this. If you don't have the time or the money to invest in it. It's basically pointless to play. Your castle basically become resource honey pots for them. So your constantly attacked even if you don't have any. So you send all your time just trying to stay alive when they are just one hit after the next on you. Till you give up and quit because you get stuck at one lv the rest of the time. They need a limit on how many times a castle can be attacked in one week or something. That would make this game a little more fare.
