Description

Been playing Luck be a Landlord for a couple months now. It’s basically a slot machine-based roguelike game where you’re trying to earn enough rent money to defeat your landlord. Sounds kinda weird, but it’s actually pretty addicting.

The way it works is you start with just one coin and have to spin the slot machine to earn more money. There’s all these different symbols you can get that give you special abilities or items. And you use those to try and beat the floors of your apartment building. It’s got a bunch of different slots, items, and achievements to unlock – keeps things feeling fresh.

Look, if you’re into rogue-like games or just want a fun little time-waster, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades get really grindy at higher levels and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it’s a solid little game that’s worth checking out.

Editor Opinion

So here's my honest take on Luck be a Landlord. I've tested a bunch of rogue-like and deckbuilding games, and this one's actually pretty darn good. The slot machine mechanic is a really unique twist that keeps things fresh and exciting. I like how there's tons of strategic depth in terms of building your deck and synergizing different symbols, but it's not so complex that it feels overwhelming.

The presentation is also top-notch - the retro pixel art style is super charming and the music is catchy. Where it falls a bit short is the repetitive nature of the gameplay loop and the aggressive monetization with ads. But if you don't mind those minor issues, this is a really solid pick for fans of the genre.

Pretty solid. A little confusing at first then it's too easy when you get it. I'd definitely buy a sequel if they could make it a bit more complex, add...

Great game and I want to support indie developers. but can't use the thing that will destroy items in your inventory. Please fix. Thanks!
