Reviews for Magic Research 2

Such a great game. One of my all tile favourites. I truly loved the original and this is the perfect sequel. Bringing what was great about the original but improving upon it and staying fresh. The story is excellent too, very immersive and seeing the school we built in the first one in it was very nice. The only thing bad about it is that there isn't a third one yet. Welp, have to replay it. Again.

Very enjoyable, I'd kill to be able to bind a spell to the mana bar so tapping it casts that spell. I'd also love an option to switch the quick channeling options from the top of that menu to the bottom. It's the most frequent thing I use in that tab, and it's the longest reach. I can favourite the channel spells, but that makes the rest of the favourites section harder to use. Just minor UI gripes, awesome game, play it.

I literally can't recommend this game enough, if you're like me, browsing through the premium app section just looking for a decent game without ads, this one is it, and after a good 60+ hours, I can confidently say it's a damn good one. Active playstyle idle game, it's sooo good, a lot of love went into this one, wish I had more ways of supporting the dev!!!

I loved the first game, and this one might be better. It looks similar but there are more and more interesting mechanics to discover. Many ideas which started in the first game are here but fully realised. The story and other reading elements are well written. I think the bosses are more fun, more interesting tactical interactions, and they feel less unfair. The only point which may or may not be an upgrade is that this game holds your hand way more than the first game.

Never played the first one, just saw this in the store and thought I'd give it a try on a whim. Totally worth it. For mobile games, I tend to go towards idle, simulation, or story based and this has all three (and a bit more!). There is a lot of depth to the mechanics, and clearly playtested to get this genre so finely tuned. Updates small or large or fairly frequent so it's nice to come back to something new. I haven't played a crazy number of hours in this, but currently going through NG+. 5*!

Played the first magic research until I'd remade the world twice, loved every second of it. Wasn't sure whether it would even be possible to make a sequel that wasn't just the same game again, but this newer game has achieved an excellent blend of past game mechanics and new concepts. Very much worth the price of purchase, will be recommending both the 1st and 2nd installments to my friends

Game that can be enjoyed by both newcomers and experienced players. Played only a portion of Magic Research and saw that Magic Research 2 had released. I now have a 100% save file and have started my next playthrough. Overall the game feels very well put together and there's always a way to continue to progress. Try as many items/elements as possible! Enjoyed every minute except for the Creator. Took me too many tries. Anyways! Get this game! Worth the time!

1. Play this game if you like incremental games, 2. Gosh the UI is the biggest hurdle for this gem. Its a minor thing but its over and over again. I can't give you less than 5 stars for the brilliant systems that build on each other in an amazing way, but I really want to dock a couple for just how annoying it is to switch builds, retire, or explore synergies.

I love it. It's a little slow to get into it but when you start to see the depth of the game and how you can twist and your skills to match any situation it starts to get very fun. I bought the steam version and transfered my game files to that and now play on my laptop. I find that more enjoyable than on my phone.

The sequal to easily the best incremental game I've ever played, and its easily better in every way, somehow. I never write reviews, and here I am only sad that you can't write longer reviews. The pacing is phenomenal, you never feel bored, the offline time is versitile and incredibly useful for skipping forward slightly. Every hurdle you overcome is juuust the right amount of difficult that it feels like a real accomplishment when you finally figure out how to beat the next boss. 10 out of 5 💙
