Description
Been using Meet the Phonics – Letter Soun for a couple months now. It’s basically a game that teaches you the different sounds each letter makes. Pretty solid app if you’re trying to help your kid learn their ABCs.
Here’s what you do: you see 3 letters and hear one letter sound, and you have to pick the right letter. If you get it wrong, the letter disappears. Get it right and you get to see a short video that shows that letter as a fun character and teaches all its sounds. There’s also a mode where you just listen to the sounds and match them to the letters. Took me a while to figure that one out but it’s useful.
Look, if you’ve got a preschooler or early elementary kid, they’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job of making learning letters fun. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Meet the Phonics - Letter Soun. I've tested a bunch of educational apps and this one's pretty good. The production values are high, with cute characters and polished animations. And the gameplay is simple but challenging enough to keep kids engaged. My only real gripe is that the progression can feel a little slow at times, and the ads get old quick. But for a free app, it's a solid option.
