The thing I don't like about the game is trying to upgrade your players cost to much. I spent over a half million in coins to go from level 19 to level 20 and I never got to level 20. Coins or stars is the only way to level your player up and it's just not worth what it costs. Its got to the point that now I don't even care to play because it cost to much to do anything. Either figure out how to make the game more cost efficient or ill just find something else to play that's more gratifying.
Reviews for MLB 9 Innings 25
← Back to MLB 9 Innings 25I wanted to love this game, but it didnt work out. I found a lot of the game was over-engineered and confusing, such as player card details and symbolism. It was hard to understand how to do basic functions, like analyzing pitch locations and information while batting, that I enjoyed in other games. I also found the AI during one player to be very inconsistent, it starts the game mediocre and ends at all-star.
This games minor short comings are dwarfed by it's impressive graphics, smooth gameplay, and overall baseball knowledge. It will take you to the ballgame and includes so many gaming options, everyone will be satisfied. I prefer a seasonal mode, which is outstanding. (The only thing missing is a complete box score at the end of games) I chose my team, received my favorite players, and play a shortened season that ends with a World Series hopefully. And then I can do it again with another team.
When a "duplicate player" exists, due to actual career stats; you cannot use 2 players of the same person, on the same lineup. It isn't an error, it's due to real life player career. That is the oddest explanation of, "Yes, you acquired a player that is a duplicate of the current player you have, even though you cannot use both players concurrently. We will gladly keep your money, as the player information is correct, and not a problem. It is up to you whether or not you use your purchase." 🤦
Great game to kill time. If you want to progress quickly then you can spend money on players. But it isn't necessary, you can slow play and build your team over time. It's actually designed so that you play ppl in your overall range for ranked and team modes, and also league mode. Graphics could be better and it's the same game from 3 to r years ago just new players. Would like to see some new modes implemented. Other than that fun game.
Was defenitly more enjoyable when it first came out. Throhgout the years by trying to make game more famcy all they did was make it more confusing. They still can not get the rules correct, especially when it comes to a save situation. Last week I was denied two saves. Also today I never received 105 stars that I was rewarded. Oh, it showed up in my inbox. However, when I went to collect them they magically disappeared. I also got cheated out of $150 a few years ago. So do be careful.
The game is fun, but has some problems with glitches. The game will freeze up at times, sometimes in the middle of a pitch. The AI also will make questionable decisions for the context of the game, and fair/foul and out/safe are sometimes blatantly wrong. Beyond the glitch problems, though, it is an enjoyable game with good customization abilities for teams to make your team unique.
One of the funest and best games I've ever played on a phone!! Updating to say it is still holding up as top 5 maybe even top 3 apps ever invented! I love how much you can do compared to other apps! You can actually control base running, pitches, pitch location, and accuracy! So thank you and keep up the great work. The only thing I would change / add is being able to have some sort of auction for players or a way to maybe bid on certain players or trade with other users that would be nice.
Great game, I've been playing for 4 years. A flaw that I've noticed that when you get a hit up the middle right over second base, the runner keeps running and gets thrown out at second base when he should of stop at first base. Also the commentator keeps repeating the same thing until another play happens. I would suggest to give us more diamond rewards at the end of the game. Other than that I've enjoyed it going on 5 years!!
Unable to buy/sell specific players online from other users. Free agency & Auctions are ridiculously overpriced. Can't put players in different positions (Robbie Cano @ 1B). If the opposing scores when pitching, the game score fills up the entire screen making unclear where the ball is, runners are, or if you can throw to a different base. Game constantly freezes when trying to enter any game mode.
All in all... not too bad. If they could figure out that fielders (infield and outfield) don't always have to hop before throwing the ball home. Had two easy plays where instead of throwing, they stopped to stare at the ball and hop... cost the game. Happened many other times before. Fix this issue and maybe I'll get the game again.
After getting screwed over several times from the server timing out and missing out on the offseason upgrade ticket an only hitting 79 out of 80 days because of it. Customer support is terrible! This game is a waste of time as they only want your money, and even then you don't ever get anything good. I loved this game and put a lot of time in it, but I won't be playing this anymore because the offseason event was the last straw! 0 STARS!!!!
I love this game, you don't always have to pay to play to make fast progress building your team. The graphics are great, the announcer dosen't say the same lines troughout the game, plenty of game modes to choose from and simple controls make learning how to play easy and more enjoyable. My only issue is during games it will sometimes lag but only when a pitch is thrown during your at-bat. It's not concistant but is annoying when it happen, especially during important moments of the game
Great game! Great for baseball fans, some things could improve. Stuff is too expensive, if I want to buy something to build my team, nope, 49.99 for 3 Premium packs, a skill change ticket, and 100,000 points. Also, too many things are censored in chat. I can't type 'again' without it being censored, I can't type something because of a different word that is in the main word. Overall great game, really fun.
Restricted from playing game due to a purchase I made in error and got refunded by Google. I never redeemed any of the items in the package I ordered and expected the developers to just take the items away from me. Instead, I can only play the game again if I repurchase the same item I purchased in error. How is this fair? The package was $50. I dropped my phone and purse and picked the phone up and made the purchase in error. I didn't benefit in any way with the purchase. This feels wrong
A bit of a challenge to get competitive early on, but one thing I thoroughly enjoy is that with a decent bit of grinding, you can actually begin to compete. Each mode has its reward for the time you put in. If you can learn what you should be saving and spending your game earned currencies on, you can actually progress well, and you feel the growth within your team. My only mistake was (and it wasn't explained clearly) how nearly impossible it is upgrade a existing gold player 2 diamond
IMO, the best overall baseball game you can get on your device! Graphics are head's above all other's, very user friendly, and even tech support is quick to respond. They keep rosters and stats up to date, and even though they offer in-app purchases, you aren't pressured to purchase and can build a great team without spending a dime, which is VERY important to some folks! I've had this app for 3 year's now and it's a constant "go-to" for me!
Really good, fun game. The only thing I'd add more of the guide missions, or more to the team completion manual. Maybe some new cardart, something different, I'm not sure, just something completely out of the ordinary that's different. Just overall, it would be really fun to have more challenges or promos to earn rare or promo-specific cards, or something along the lines of that. Otherwise, very, very fun game.
Ditto to Uncle Lou's review. I played the game a few years ago, and encountered the same issues, what I like to call "the mid-season whammy." I recently installed the app again about a month ago, and nothing has changed. After the first 40 or 50 games, all my good hitters go into a slump. Perfect swings end up as dribblers or pop-ups, while a swing on a bad pitch can result in a home run. This usually clears up after 30 games or so, but the mid-season is incredibly frustrating. Please fix this!
If you are serious about long term success in this game, prepare to spend a lot of money. You quickly hit a point where you simply cannot improve your team for free. Manual play modes are terribly frustrating - the mechanics/physics are very inconsistent. You can put a perfect swing on a pitch and hit a slow dribbler or make a nad swing on a bad pitch and hit a home run. There seems to be no rhyme or reason, and it makes me want to smash my phone. I like the club management aspect, but thats it.
