Description

I’ve been playing Mr Autofire for a couple months now. It’s basically a crazy action platformer where you run and gun your way through levels, blasting aliens and unlocking new weapons and gear. Pretty solid app if you’re into retro-style shooters with a roguelike twist.

Here’s what you do: You play as Mr Autofire, the self-proclaimed Defender of Everything, and your job is to shoot literally everything that moves. There’s also a bunch of different characters you can unlock, each with their own unique abilities and play styles. And the levels get progressively tougher – you’ll need to level up your gear and figure out the best strategies to survive.

Look, if you’re into high-intensity action games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and it does get a bit repetitive after a while. But overall it does the job and gives you some good mindless fun. Worth checking out if you want a solid shoot ’em up.

Editor Opinion

So here's my honest take on Mr Autofire. I've tested a bunch of action platformers and this one's definitely up there. The gameplay is super tight and responsive, with tons of strategic depth without being overwhelming. The graphics look great and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. And the best part is it's free to play - no need to spend money to enjoy it. But it's not without its issues. The upgrade system gets grindy at higher levels, and the repetitive nature of the levels means it can get old after a while. And the ads, while not terrible, can be a bit annoying if you don't wanna pay. But overall, I'd say it's a pretty solid game that scratches that retro shoot 'em up itch.
