So here's my take on My really Hungry Caterpillar. I've tested a bunch of virtual pet and kids' games, and this one's actually pretty solid. The core gameplay loop of hatching and raising the caterpillar is really satisfying, and the graphics are super cute and polished. It's a great way to keep little kids entertained. But I will say, it does start to feel a bit repetitive if you play it for hours on end. And the ads, while not super intrusive, are a bit annoying if you don't pay to remove them. Overall though, I'd recommend it if you or your kids are into that kind of relaxing, open-ended virtual pet experience.

Description

I’ve been playing My really Hungry Caterpillar for a couple months now. It’s basically a cute virtual pet game where you take care of Eric Carle’s famous caterpillar character. You start with a tiny egg and have to tap it to hatch the caterpillar, then feed it all kinds of foods to help it grow bigger and bigger.

There’s a ton of interactive mini-games and activities to unlock as the caterpillar grows. You can make it crawl around, play with it, and even tuck it in for naps. It’s got really nice, colorful graphics that look great on my phone. And the more you play, the more new content you can access – like growing flowers or unlocking new environments.

Look, if you’re into casual, relaxing apps for kids, you’ll probably like this one. It’s not gonna blow you away, but it’s a solid virtual pet game that’s easy to pick up and play. The only downsides are that it can get a bit repetitive after a while, and the ads can be kinda annoying if you don’t pay to remove them.
