The game starts out just like it says, creepy and spooky puzzles that you have to solve in a time limit. Then suddenly the puzzles went from "Nightmare" to just kooky. No longer ghostly or haunting or escape/hide from the creepy character, just weird puzzles with weirder solutions. Overall the game is still fun, but I downloaded it for the creepy storylines not for "Help the man answer natures call" essence it took on later. To the developers, please make future levels Nightmarish again.
Reviews for Nightmare Puzzles: The Unknown
← Back to Nightmare Puzzles: The UnknownLove this game!! 🫶🏾😍 I thought it was a scam at first because of some reviews, but after playing the adds I had to find out for myself. There are many adds, but I did figure out a cheat code around it. 🤭 My little secret: I hit the home button on my phone then, clip back on the game and the adds dissappear. 😉 The only time that doesn't work is if I ask for a "hint" in the game (Which was rare)... But don't be discouraged this game is super fun! Hope my tip helped.
You cannot play this game without paying the $9.79 for ad removal. If you don't, you will get an ad for every click. There's few levels at the moment (38), but they were fun. I downloaded the game for the "creepy" factor, so I'm disappointed that after 24ish levels it started to recycle levels from all the other puzzle games like it. I hope the newer levels revert back to the creepy theme the game promoted in its ads. Would rate higher if they stayed with that theme.
it would be nice to play this game because its fun but the ads are absolutely terrible. Everytime you want a hint, win, lose, then it has ad breaks, and alot of the time when youre forced to watch an ad for a hint the game will either completely shut down and start over saving no progress, or it'll just lead you back to the puzzle with no hint at all and then a second after make you watch ANOTHER AD. Its a fun game but 1000% not worth it. i spent more time watching ads than i did playing. LAME.
this game is pretty fun and has a lot of potential but some of the stuff is just weird... and there's an ad after ever fail or every win AND when you click another stage and some last up to a full minute or even longer. I'm sorry, i can't do an ad everytime i click on a lvl and or fail and or win a lvl, it's too much. it's nice but some stuff like i said is a lil weird.
advertising is expected with these games. my annoyance comes from the ballerina level. if you don't touch the puzzle pieces exactly then the monster gets you. which is so annoying as the puzzle pieces are super small and some are hidden which is even more infuriating. either show all the pieces or get rid of the monster getting you if you touch ANYWHERE on the screen. so annoying I rage quit a few times because of it. the rest of the game is very fun. doesn't always make sense, aggressive ads.
If I could give it 0 stars,I would. First off only the fist few puzzles are horror related. The rest are meh. I understand completely the ads, but the amount of ads in the game us just ridiculous. There's two ads on the page. 1 on top and another at the bottom and the the one in the middle every change in page. Then there is a video ad every time you start a game oven if you don't finish it and then another every few minutes in the middle of the puzzle. Then the ones where you choose the games.
These high ratings HAVE to be paid ratings because they are lies!! The worst game experience for the amount of ads alone! But then add to it the difficulty in figuring out what the damn puzzle wants you to do makes you wanna pull your hair out. The concept is great. Execution of the concept is a complete FAIL!! Sad because I tried so hard to stick with it but that forth level did me in. No game should be this frustrating!
After level 53, the rest of the levels are unfortunately not horror theme anymore and MOSTLY stolen from other puzzle games, like the snow white one from brain baits. Although, they weren't many ads so I guess that's the positive side. Can't call it a nightmare puzzle if you add a non scary one. I like the small warning ones so I hope they exchange the non scary ones with that.
I couldn't get through even the first level without ads every few seconds, and they want you to pay to get rid of the "annoying ads," as they call them in the game. They know it's annoying and want people to waste money on a low quality game. Cutting the internet off doesn't even work since you apparently need it for the game despite it not being online. I'd find a better alternative to this one, it's just rage bait.
Ad simulator: the game. Seriously, the number of ads is insane. There's ads on the opening screen, there's ads at the bottom of the screen, the top of the screen, ads if you want a hint, ads if you need more time, ads if you die, ads if you win. Some of the levels felt purposely unwinnable on the first try and I have a suspicious feeling it's to make people have to restart the level so the game can show them another ad. The puzzles aren't even that great. Don't waste your time on it.
first there are way too many ads. they are everywhere in the game, random ad breaks and you HAVE to use them to figure out some of the puzzles as the solution makes no sense on some. like none. unimstalling because it's unnecessarily difficult and by far too many ads. no thank you. 2 stars for the puzzles that make sense. also, some of the puzzles make you wait before you can do anything so it wastes time. then an ad pops up...
Out of sheer curiosity, i tried this app out. Firstly, there has to be paid good reviews because i can confirm, you get bombarded with ads, need hints? ad. let your phone lock and unlock, guess what ad. take too long solving a puzzle? surprise ad. want to unlock certain levels? watch an ad and download an app. granted, the handful of puzzles I did play were fun i suppose, the app is riddled with ads and kills the joy of the game. My reccomendation, find something else to play. Two stars from me.
Puzzles are cool, but there is non stop advertisements that you can't avoid. I played for two minutes, and was met with sixteen ads minimum. Occasionally with puzzles, they will actively put you at a disadvantage if you don't watch adverts. (Less time, less spaces to complete, etc) and every time you lose or win, you are forced to watch an advertisement regardless.
congrats you got me to rate yall. do not download this game! was fine until lvl 6 when the ads started covering up the whole game forcing you to pay for the ad free option or not be able to play at all. if it was only a trial then they should be up front with it and not bully you into paying for things while pretending it is a free game. I was fine watching the ads but when you block the content and there is no way around it no matter how many times you reload or what you do? bull. deleted.
The amount of ads is absurd, the solutions quickly become too farfetched and convoluted to come up naturally, if you get a hint and you need to check it again? Watch another ad. It drops the 'horror' aspect around level 54 (it has 94 lvls as of my review), it has some of the exact same puzzles and solutions as other games, it also uses what looks like AI art. I played it to completion, and I deeply regret wasting my time.
The puzzles aren't fun or intuitive, and even the levels it warns as being scary are really not. You only get one free hint and have to either pay or watch ads for any other hints. There are ads constantly, too. In the level select, when you win a level, when you lose a level, banner ads, I've seen more ads than I've had seconds of fun playing this after accidentally pressing install.
I counted and I got 7 different ads (one pre level, two while the level loaded, one banner ad, one post level, and two on the level complete screen) across the span of one level which is insane. I was having fun, so I figured why not buy the upgrade for no ads, there are over 110 levels so it would be worth it for an interesting theme. So there are only about 25 horror themed levels, the rest are recycled from another game
the sheer amount of ads is ridiculous and a lot of the answers to the puzzles don't even make any sense. I know free games come with ads but ads before, during (sometimes more than once, and after each and every puzzle is absurd. And forget needing to restart the level. there's an ad for that too. Maybe not every time. But about 90% of the time.
I like this game! Not to many ads, and the ads you do get are only a few seconds long, or you can exit out of them right away. The hint ads are max a minute long, and they're helpful. It's just challenging enough but not impossible to solve. There's also an option to skip scarier levels which is nice, but they're not that scary, maybe for the younger kids playing it.
