So here's my honest take on PCE.emu. I've tested a bunch of retro emulator apps and this one's one of the better ones. The low latency and smooth performance are big pluses, and the wide compatibility means it works great on all my devices. The interface is minimal but it gets the job done. Only real downside is the ads, but you can remove them with a one-time buy. Overall, if you're a fan of classic PC Engine/TG16 games, this is a pretty solid emulator to have on your Android.

Description

Been using PCE.emu (PC Engine Emulator) for a couple months now. It’s basically a retro game emulator that lets you play classic PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16 games on your Android device. Pretty solid app if you’re into old-school gaming.

Here’s what you do: you can load up ROM files (both .pce and .sgx formats) and play all your favorite retro games. There’s also CD emulation if you have the Super CD-ROM System card. And it’s got configurable on-screen controls and supports Bluetooth/USB gamepads too. Took me a while to figure out the settings but it’s pretty user-friendly overall.

Look, if you’re a retro gaming fan, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI is a bit basic and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job of running those classic games really well. Worth checking out if you want to relive the good old days.
