So here's my honest take on Pokémon TCG Pocket - Card Game. I've tested a bunch of mobile card games and this one's pretty solid. The daily free booster packs and ability to trade cards with friends make it really engaging. And the new 3D cards are a nice touch. But I will say it can get a bit repetitive after a while, and the upgrade system is kind of grindy. Overall though, if you're a Pokémon fan, I'd recommend giving this a try - it's a fun way to collect cards on the go.

Description

Been using Pokémon TCG Pocket – Card Game for a couple months now. It’s basically a mobile version of the classic Pokémon trading card game. Pretty solid app if you’re into collecting digital Pokémon cards and battling friends.

Here’s what you do: You can open two free booster packs every day to get new cards. And there’s also a cool feature where you can trade certain cards with friends. And the new 3D ‘immersive’ cards look really neat – they make you feel like you’re part of the Pokémon world.

Look, if you’re a Pokémon fan, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it does the job and is worth checking out, especially since it’s free to play.

This app falls short of what it should be and is carried hard by the Pokemon name and creatures. The user experience is years behind other games, battles are stale...

The game lacks a real purpose once you get going. Between the inability to trade for the rarest cards and the frequency of pack release, there's no hope that you're...
